The Spruce Moose Lodge

Come relax at the Spruce Moose Lodge, our private, 4 season log cottage on upper Mazinaw Lake! This family-owned, rustic log cottage on the water is just up the Lake from Bon Echo Provincial Park - about 1.5hrs east of Peterborough, 3hrs north-east of Toronto, 2.5 hrs west of Ottawa and 1.5hrs north-west of Kingston. The cottage is easily accessible by municipal, year round roads and has amenities including groceries, LCBO and Beer Store, and small cottage shops and small-town restaurants, close by. Our cottage has 200ft of waterfront shoreline on gorgeous upper Mazinaw Lake, with a huge 2nd level deck to sit and enjoy the stunning views! Clean swimming for the family and canoes, kids' kayaks and a paddle boat to play with. Smart tv for streaming and lots of games and puzzles available. Huge DVD library! Star Link internet and a foosball table is also available for rainy day fun! Enjoy a fire in the firepit overlooking the lake, or try out the outdoor fireplace that is truly unique! An indoor wood fireplace for those cooler fall and winter months. Cottage is fully stocked with appliances, dishes, and cutlery as well as with a propane BBQ. Mattress pads, pillows, bath/hand and kitchen towels are provided, however guests are to bring their own bedsheets and comforters. The second level has 3 bedrooms: a large primary bedroom with a queen bed and expansive, unobstructed views of the lake, a 2nd bedroom with a queen bed and lakeview, and a 3rd bedroom with a bunkbed (twin over double). The lower level den with walkout to the lake has a queen pull-out sofa - ideal for adults or older kids. Cottage sleeps 8 (6 adults maximum). There is no bathroom on this level. The main level is is a beautiful open-concept space with huge logs lining the ceiling! The kitchen, living room, dining room, and bathroom are all on the main level. Our cottage is pet friendly, however renters MUST advise owners of any pets in advance. Maximum of two (2) well-trained doggies! While beautiful, our cottage is unfortunately not accessible for folks with physical limitations or restrictions, particularly stair or climbing restrictions.
