Description

Reunite with family, retreat with colleagues, or host a perfect small reception, in this lovingly restored, pet-friendly 3,500 sq. ft., 2.2 acre, Civil War-era farmhouse and studio on the Maine Coast. * Glorious views. * A 24- by 26-foot private indoor studio. * A 30- by 40-foot private outdoor beach deck & shed. Full marine dock, launch ramp, and moorings. Back-up power. Professional management. Ideal for families that sleep from 8 to 12 and for events that host up to 20. FULLY INSURED! The space 7 Henderson Lane is a mid 19th-century farmhouse, built in the traditional Maine style. It sits high on a bluff, overlooking the unspoiled Georges River. It is ideal for pets, good-sized families, and events of up to 20. The roughly 2-acre property has 3 main buildings for housing and events. 1) A 7-bedroom, two-floor, 3,500 square-foot home that can sleep 8 to 12, depending on how rooms are shared. There is a flexible multi-use room, with folding tables and chairs, usually used by families for larger dinners. 2) A fully heated, continuous 24- by 26-foot studio ideal for indoor training, practice, and receptions. It features 25-foot ceilings and marvelous views. It is located upstairs in the large barn, to the south of the main building. 3) A 15- by 10-foot beach house with a 30- by 40-foot at-grade deck that is ideal for outdoor training, practice, and receptions. It features cold running water, a fridge, a propane firepit, and lawn games. It is roughly 75 feet to the east of the main building. Our property is flexible and dynamic. We are always game for new ways to use it. But essentially, we can host 3 main kinds of events, at varying price levels. * Family reunions of up to 12. Meals and events take place in the main house. Rates are usually directly quoted by Airbnb. Additional paperwork is often exchanged. Transactions are kept strictly on-platform. * Retreats and receptions of up 20 people. Events take place outside the main building Additional contracts and limitations are required. Additional event fees can apply. Property fees usually transact on-platform. Event fees usually transact off-platform. * Marine oriented cruising and boating events. Water front fees and paperwork can apply. Property & marine fees usually transact on-platform. Please see other details of note and the full rental agreement elsewhere in this listing. Please contact us for a free quote! We'd love to hear of your plans. Guest access Guests have the direct and unlimited access to entire house 2.2 acres property. Access to the house, barn, garage and shoreline is utterly private. Other things to note We've done this long enough to know, that every booking is unique. And we absolutely would love to hear hear your ideas for a reunion, event, or reception. But there several general themes to keep in mind: 1) In these complex times, be prepared to exchange additional rental agreements, liability waivers, and disclosures. We absolutely respect your privacy, but usually that means sharing direct contact information. 2) We love boats and boating families. But depending on the situation, we may need the vessel model, proof of insurance, and brief marine resume. Additional fees and paperwork may apply. 3) When considering a reception or retreat please understand that: * We cannot host actual wedding ceremonies. It's simply not logistically possible to have the nuptials on the property. We can however connect you to top-quality transportation to nearby houses of worship, outdoor venues, and even remote islands. We can get you direct references for how magical those ceremonies can be. * We have to approve vendors. We understand that the meal, decor and details are what make every reception what it is. But the complexities involved in working in our property require that all cooks, florists and support staff meet standards for insurance, work safety, and best practices. It's not complex, but we do have to submit any potential vendor for approval. We would be happy to recommend options, if you're looking. * We cannot host amplified music. You will be inhabiting an intimate location where sound travels far. Really far. While we love acoustic music played indoors in the home or studio, amplified music is not something to plan for. Remember, if things get too noisy, Deputy Smith will absolutely knock on the door. And he will alter your experience. Definitely. Again, we look forward to chatting with you about your needs. We love hosting the right events! Do reach out.
