Other outdoor activities available locally include mountain biking in Whinlatter Forest, kayaking and sailing on the lakes, rock climbing and ghyll scrambling to name but a few. The ‘not so fit’ may prefer gentle strolls around the town’s parks and shops, partaking in the café culture on Keswick’s pedestrianised market place or a trip on the launch around Derwentwater.
