The River House is a delightful place to go for a weekend getaway or a more extended vacation. It's a quaint log structure with pleasant decor. It's nice floorplan allows guests to enjoy comfortable group gatherings as well as cozy bedrooms. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare complete meals. There are TVs in each bedroom as well as a larger TV in the common area. Live TV or streaming is provided through WiFi that comes in on fiber-optic cable, so it is both reliable and fast. It's great for recreational activity or checking in on work. There's a private patio space outdoors that's well suited for grilling on the charcoal or gas grills or hanging out by the fire pit. Next to the patio is a covered hot tub where you can enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a cool drink in the evening. There's both a screened-in porch and a deck that extends out toward the river and they each provide excellent river views. The dock is in good shape and it provides an easy place to catch and clean fish. There is also a platform on the dock that allows easy access to canoes or kayaks. The owners regularly stay at The River House and are very sensitive to what will enhance the comfort and enjoyment of the property. The property is managed by the owners, and they are very attentive to whatever concerns may arise during your stay. The River House is far enough out from town to provide the calm of natural surroundings, but it's close enough to allow great convenience. A commercial river marina with fishing guide service is a five minute drive away, and a full-service marina on Greers Ferry Lake is fifteen minutes away.
