It has a bit of height over the cove and Blue Hill Bay. The living space faces south and west for spectacular sunset views. There is a brand new West Elm sleep sofa in the main living room. The sleeping loft hosts a king bed. Access is a very sturdy ladder-like stairway. The kitchen is creatively functional. A single burner unit, electric frypan, large toaster oven, mini microwave, large dorm-style fridge, and deck-side BBQ make this a great space for easy-peasy cooks. Coffee maker & tea kettle included. The cottages are kid-friendly and have great decks for sunsets, b-b-qs, and playing. (Sorry, no pets) The surrounding woods are nature's masterpiece quintessential Maine. The property is 1500 feet of shoreline and the cove proves to be a great place to explore Maine marine life and geology. Nearby, Pretty Marsh is chock full of places to explore in our kayaks and rowboats. The harbor is home to seals, porpoises, great blue herons, osprey, and frequent eagles. Fishing and crabbing is always a great way to spend your time. If you like to swim in the ocean, there are ladders at the dock and a gravel beach to wander in and out of the waves. Of course, there are warmer ponds and lakes very nearby, too. The 40 acres surrounding the cottages are full of woodsy pathways and mossy areas for exploring. There are mussels to collect at low tide and you can steam your own lobsters on the deck of your house. And, SUNSET is an amazing feature here on the west side of Mount Desert Island.
