Charming country cottage hideaway

Welcome to Thatch Cottage; once home to 17th century Norfolk farm labourers and now a luxurious holiday hideaway. This beautiful detached house in the heart of the Broads National Park provides luxurious self-catering accommodation in an idyllic hamlet. The two-bathroom, two-bedroom configuration sleeps up to four people. Thatch Cottage offers all the modern essentials and has been immaculately modernised and renovated while still retaining its traditional rural charm. The space Entry way: There’s plenty of hanging room for coats and space for wellington boots as well as a washing machine and tumble dryer. The boiler is also located here so wet coats and shoes dry quickly. So do dogs! Outside the back door there’s a tap and hose for washing down muddy wellies and dogs. In the drawers you will find some games, maps, torches and other useful items as well as emergency contacts and instructions on how to use the heating, fireplace and cooker. Please read these when you arrive. Kitchen: The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric oven/hob and all the cooking and baking equipment you could want. The kitchen table is the main dining table and comfortably seats four people. Living room: The TV is located in the cupboard to the left of the wood burner, Gas wood burner for instant heat and comfort, Two leather sofas, there is also a printer/copier/scanner located in the cupboard to the right of the wood-burner. Study: Desk and chair if you need to work while you are staying, Bookcase full of holiday reading, Airing cupboard Downstairs shower-room: Toilet, basin, generously sized shower and heated towel rail Upstairs Bedroom 1: En-suite bedroom with super-king size bed that can be configured to two singles. Wardrobe and small dressing table Bathroom has a freestanding bath and hand shower along with heated towel rail. Bedroom 2: Super-king size bed that can be configured to two singles if required. Bathroom is the shower room downstairs. Each bed is freshly made up with White Company sheets and a White Company Bath Sheet and Hand Towel per person. NOTE: the staircase is steep, narrow and winding with a large step up to the second bedroom. It is not suitable for the infirm, small children or dogs. Outside: There is one small patio with a bench, small table and chairs to the front of the property where you can sit surrounded by mature plants and trees. This is a beautiful spot, especially in the late morning. This garden is not dog proof. There is a much larger patio to the back of the property surrounded by planting and a large lawn that gets sun from the south and west. There is a large table and chairs to seat six people as well as Badminton, Croquet and other games. This garden is accessible from the Kitchen and the Living Room and is fenced for dogs.
