Stable Bed and Breakfast at Kergudon

Stable was an outbuilding of Kergudon when it was a farm. We're told it was used to house the bull so we have used some poetic license and called it Stable. Now converted into a cosy studio for 2 it is not a gîte as it doesn’t have a kitchen but is ideal for B&B although can be used for longer stays if you enjoy simple meals or eating out. We are located in the natural park of Armorique, within the Monts D'Arrée within easy distance of beaches, hills, forests and many other outdoor activities. The space Stable was built when Kergudon existed as a farm to house, we are told, the bull. It has now been converted to provide cosy accommodation as a studio space. It retains much of its historic character including some exposed beams and slate and is a clam and relaxing space for a couple or used as overflow for larger groups. It sleeps 2 people in a king-sized (150 x 200 cm) bed with ample space inside to read, relax and eat breakfast. Stable is not a gîte as it does not have a kitchen. It does however, have some limited catering facilities (a microwave, mini-fridge and kettle) so can be used to make simple meals or as a base for those who want to enjoy the many restaurants around us. Principally Stable is used as a chambre d’hôte (bed and breakfast). Stable has a separate shower room with sink, WC and heated towel rail. The building has a dedicated car parking space adjacent to the building as well as a private outside space with garden furniture and access to the communal garden. A parasol and BBQ can be provided if required. All of our guests at Kergudon have access to our many communal facilities. These include a 10 x 5 heated indoor / outdoor swimming pool and adjacent pool house (indoor / outdoor as there is a full height telescopic cover that can be opened in good weather); boot room with a range of wellington boots for you to borrow for walking in the forest; a washing machine and a tumble dryer for which we ask a small additional charge. Our bike store has mountain bikes available to our guests free of charge; we have a pétanque (boule) pitch and family games room with pool table, babyfoot, electronic darts and a selection of games and books. The games room has a projector and large screen and can be reserved and used as a cinema for a family film night. We also have a well equipped fitness suite so you can maintain your physical routine when you are with us - or you can start one! David, one of the owners, is a fully qualified Personal Trainer who can generate a program for you or give you fitness training, yoga or pilates Guest access We are in a very rural part of France so public transport is non-existent and use of a car is essential. There is ample off-street parking available to guests at no extra charge. As this region also has miles of amazing, well maintained, roads with fabulous views, it is a popular destination for classic car owners. If you would like to bring yours we can provide undercover parking, lockable if required, again at no extra charge but we would ask you request in advance.
