CENTRAL HVAC & HEATING The space Our residence when we are in Bardstown has many upscale touches and includes a great number of amenities not normally found even in hotels. The Large Great Room has an oversized reclining couch and love seat, plus a reading area with 2 Large Comfortable Reading Chairs. Plus a smart TV, DVD, and a great selection of DVDs and Books for your enjoyment. The Master Bedroom Suite has a K/S, XL Bed, with an ensuite Bathroom. The Great Room separates this and the LARGE BLUE GUEST ROOM with Q/S Bed & the Green and White Room with 2 XL Single Beds, plus the Red Bathroom. There are many upscale touches including upscale linen, Calphalon Pot and Pans, and a full assortment of cooking dishes and appliances. Service and settings for at least 6 people. The Full-size Refrigerator Freezer, the upscale Electric Range & Oven (with convection setting) an oversized microwave above the Range, plus a new Dishwasher. There are breakfast cereals organic flavored oatmeals, mini boxed breakfast cereals, coffee and tea (decaf & regular) some snacks, and a great many condiments in the refrigerator. Kitchen-Aid drip coffee maker, French Press, and Cappuccino/Expresso Machine, A waffle iron, and waffle mix and syrup. We do not provide perishables as it is against the local laws.Blender, Toaster, Can Opener, Mix Master and Baking and Serving ware, The home is Centrally A/C and Heated, with a newer unit. There is a separate Laundry Room with a Full-Size Washer and Dryer, and a large lot provides a great outdoor space with a Patio table and Chairs, plus a Propane BBQ unit, plus 2 lawn chairs. There is a workspace on a corner desk in the Large Blue Guest Room. Extra Long driveway for multiple cars or possibly a trailer. Guest access The kitchen is fully functional with plates, cups, a toaster, a blender, pots and pans, and utensils. Dishes and silverware for up to 6 people are included. Local, PBS & Amazon Prime TV Services plus a DVD Blue Ray Player with many movies/DVDs are available and Netflix should now be loaded. A large Book selection is also available. The large Blue Guest room has in addition to a large Smart Wallhung Smart TV a corner desk with a computer plus a printer/fax/copier plus a house phone, and the house has wireless wi-fi set up. During the holidays, the journeys get even merrier, and the train gets a new name. Dubbed the North Pole Express, the ride features Santa and Mrs. Claus, who greet riders before everyone settles into their seats for a three-course meal, hot cocoa, and a sing-along. Maker’s Mark Distillery in Loretto, Kentucky, is another local favorite with Willets Bar a great dining place nearby, and Makers Mark has added an eating establishment which I hear is great. Each year, Star Hill Farm invites guests to see the property’s iconic red shutters, wreathed windows, and ribbon-clad historic buildings. The distillery has also been known to host popular after-dark candlelight tours featuring themed drinks and treats. Four Roses in Franklin towards Lexington is a great tour, Evan Williams is a family-run operation offering tastings alongside a museum teaching about the area’s past. It’s a destination for learning about the spirit and its development in Kentucky, with tasting rooms, an interactive gallery, and The 1935 Distillery Theater, which screens films about Heaven Hill and the whiskey business. And of c ourse there is Jim Beam off the #245 near the Bernheim Experimental Forest Explore Farther Afield Let your travels take you to nearby small towns like Bloomfield to continue the merriment. Stroll by the historic redbrick buildings downtown, and do some shopping to support local businesses. Wander around Nettie Jarvis Antiques on Taylorsville Road; you’ll find treasures including 18th and 19th-century furniture produced in this region as well as a selection of American quilts and folk art. Next door is The Old Sugar Valley Country Store, a lovely little spot showcasing plenty of Kentucky-made products and crafts.
