There are long walks along the waterfront paths for your family and your dog, starting at the bottom of Rusbrook St Redland Bay turn left and through the park follow the road past the old chruch follow the waterfront parks and walkways to Weinan Creek Marina where you'll find the Pelican's Slipway Cafe with its great views over Moreton Bay , great views, Food and Coffee. The kids can roller skate nearly all the way, great water views along the way or cycling, skateboard or scooter with water all the way. Victoria Point has a nice medium sized shopping centre with all the major outlets It also boast a great cinema complex, extremely well priced for the family with a selection of dining options on Lakeside nearby, ​ Redlands Kayak Tours are the most experienced kayak guides on the bay offering you a unique eco-adventure where you can connect with nature and have an awesome day out on Redlands beautiful waterways. Whether its stretching your limits or enjoying time with friends. ​ Sirromet Winery is 10 minutes drive, a lovely day out with live music weekends , cafe and restaurants and great wine ,very relaxing. . Also you could drive out to one of the many waterfront areas including Victoria Point and Cleveland Point , park and Lighthouse Restaurant , a must for fish and chips. There are many casual and formal dining options around the Bayside area. Along the road to Cleveland Point there is the Grand View Hotel which is has nice views over the water. Down further along the narrow neck of the point there are three dining options, fish and chip shop to go or eat in ( always busy) a cafe type eatery with limited menu and outdoor eating under umbrellas, and inside there is a restaurant. . There is also a small lighthouse at the point and across the water is Coochiemudlo Island. A nice park with kids playground. ​ You could drive to Manly and Wynnum two other waterfront suburbs which have walking paths along the waterfront, picnic areas, playgrounds for the young children, fish and chip shops, cafes and a few restaurants. A favourite drive is to Mt Tambourine, head down to Beenleigh and then to Tamborine Village ahead to the Mountain , check out the rain forrest areas and Saint Bernards Hotel.
