Rented by Sugar Mountain Lodging, Inc. This incredibly well-appointed house has everything you'll need and want for a great mountain visit. Check our company website for best rates 3 level home in the Mossy Creek Luxury Homes section of Sugar Mountain High ceilings, beautiful kitchen, and lots of space! Beds are all queen size and there's a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. The master suite has a huge jetted tub in a room all to itself. Kitchen has pots and pans, dishes and silverware, small appliances. NO coffee is provided, but we are now stocking units with salt and pepper, and cooking oil. Homeowners have provided lots of amenities to make your stay a relaxing and enjoyable one, and the location is great too. Just 1/2 mile to the ski area, tubing, ice skating, golf, or tennis, there's bound to be something for everyone. Home is not air conditioned,. All arrivals packets are currently being left in the Late Arrivals box next to the door. This helps reduce contact during this time of Covid-19. While the rental office is closed to the public, we're always available by phone or appointment. Arriving earlier than 4pm? Let us know! If it's possible for you to check in earlier, we'll be happy to do it. However, if someone is leaving the morning of your arrival, this can be difficult. Our family has been in this area for many generations and we're thrilled that others are interested to come and visit. If there's something you'd like to know, just ask! If you're just looking to check in and go right to your property without stopping to chat, that's perfectly fine too. The Village of Sugar Mountain has lots to do. Skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, and tubing are the main draws of the winter season. Walking trails, bicycling, and cool mountain breezes are there for you during the rest of the year. There is a community park with a picnic area, and the nearby park in Banner Elk has playground equipment. Wildcat Lake is just a few miles away (less than 10) and is an absolutely wonderful way to spend a warm day. Excellent restaurants can be found all around Banner Elk! From Dunn's Deli to the fine dining at The Artisanal, and everything in between, you're sure to find something you love. The overall feeling of the High Country is one of relaxed friendliness. Strangers smile and greet one another and people hold doors open for each other. It's easy to see why so many artists settle down here. The positive energy and beautiful surroundings are perfect for creative spirits. A car is a must in our area. While there is a shuttle to and from the ski resort during winter holidays and weekends, there is no public transportation to speak of. Occasionally it's possible to get a taxi or shuttle, but it's usually a plan-ahead type of situation. During the winter season, our weather can change dramatically from one hour to the next. It is your responsibility to make sure you have the right equipment to get you where you need to go. Four wheel drive and all wheel drive vehicles are ideal to bring for your ski trip, but your tires are just as important. Make sure you have plenty of tread on your tires, and know your vehicle. If you opt for using snow cables/chains, be sure you’re putting them on the correct tires. All our properties are set up with 3 towels and 3 washcloths per bathroom. We provide a starter roll of toilet paper, two small bars of soap, and a garbage can liner per bathroom. Kitchens have a dishcloth and towel, dish detergent, dishwasher detergent if applicable, and a garbage can liner. Beds are made up with fresh sheets and pillow cases, and sofa beds have fresh sets of sheets either stacked on the sofa or placed nearby. We do not provide a daily housekeeping service or replenish the starter supplies. What to bring: Paper towels, extra toilet paper, extra soap, coffee, coffee filters, cooking supplies such as cooking sprays, oils, spices and foil. Rental units do have appliances large and small, dishes, utensils, and pots and pans. If staying at Sugar Top, don’t forget to bring your pool towels! If you’re coming in the warm summer months, bring a jacket just in case. If you’re coming in the cold winter months, bring something lighter weight, just in case. Our weather is infamous for it’s quick changes!
