Home sits on a half-acre of land with a large deck and BBQ out back. This is a perfect home base to enjoy all that Vermont and its capital have to offer. Great for families, couples, and groups. This cute and spacious two-story house has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom upstairs, and 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom downstairs. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom make this house suitable for guests with some mobility issues, as long as they can make it up the 4 porch steps. A brand-new large back deck built in 2019 offers a tranquil place to relax and enjoy the view, while you BBQ some good eats with our brand new Weber grill. The living area is open plan with the kitchen, dining room, and living room part of one communal space so everyone is in on the action. You will enjoy our flat-screen high-definition TV with Netflix, Youtube, Amazon Prime, and many other streaming channels. That along with the hutch full of books, games and free wi-fi will keep everyone entertained. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, cookware, stove, and dishwasher. As a courtesy to guests, we provide coffee and tea makings, and an initial starting pack of paper products and cleaning supplies. Guests are renting the entire house and have full access to everything in the home except a few locked cupboards of personal items belonging to the owners. Property Manager lives next door, so she is available almost any time to answer questions, but for your convenience we use a lock box for keys so you can check in at your leisure anytime after 3:00 on check-in day. Montpelier, VT is the smallest state capital in the United States, but it is full of history and unique charm. Stay close and explore the many great restaurants, shops, farmer's markets and museums of Montpelier, or use this home as your base to explore the ski slopes, hiking trails, iconic towns, and unique foods of Vermont. It's a one-mile walk or drive to downtown Montpelier from the house. Alternatively, there is a local Montpelier bus system (GMTA) with a bus that stops right by the house and takes you downtown Montpelier, where you can explore the city or connect to all kinds of public transportation -- the train (Amtrak), bus to the airport (Burlington International Airport), national bus services (Greyhound etc.), and much more. Washer and dryer in the basement. The upstairs bedrooms can get hot on the hottest days of summer, for guest comfort we have portable Air Conditioners available to cool the two bedrooms upstairs. Large driveway with parking for 4+ vehicles Stroller, booster-style high chair, and Pack and Play available for guest use. Two blow-up twin mattresses available for guest use upon request. Our base price covers 4 guests, each additional guest is an extra $15 per night (Airbnb automatically calculates an accurate total price based on the number of guests you enter).
