Above the Clouds is a spectacular log cabin set on 7 acres at the very top of Gateway Mountain. The long-range views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the valley below are breathtaking. The three-level cabin is approximately 2000 square feet, with stunning views from every room. This rental is pet friendly with an additional $100 pet fee per dog (maximum of 2 dogs; pet fees are NOT included in the original reservation price or room rate provided by Airbnb when booking). The space About the Home • Well-equipped kitchen with eat-in dining for 6, dishwasher, and two coffeemakers (Keurig and standard Drip-style). • Impressive great room with floor-to-ceiling windows, a wood-burning stone fireplace, and a Smart TV. • The main floor deck boasts a gas grill, lounge chairs, a picnic table, and a screened-in porch with a gas fire table. Where to Unwind • The main floor offers a primary bedroom with a king-size bed and an en suite bathroom (shower and bathtub combination). A powder room is also located on the main floor. • The upper level offers two bedrooms (one with a queen-sized bed and one with a king-sized bed) and a full bathroom (shower and bathtub combination) with hallway access only. A loft, overlooking the living room, provides additional living space with a game table and games. • The lower level offers a game room with a gas fireplace, 55" SmartTV, and custom-built log pool table; access to the covered deck with hot tub and sitting area. Be sure to check out the community's very own amenities like the floating dock on Lake George, hiking trails, and gorgeous waterfalls! PLAN TO ARRIVE DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS THE FIRST TIME. To get to this gorgeous cabin, you will have to navigate steep mountain roads with some twists and turns. The last part of the drive is a gravel road, so having a 4WD or AWD vehicle is REQUIRED. Getting there is part of the adventure! Please note: No parking is allowed on roadways or at gate entrances. No RVs, boat trailers, camping trailers, or trailers of any kind are permitted in the Gateway Mountain Community. Guest access All of our homes are private residences so you have access to the entire house unless otherwise noted in the description (the owner may not allow use of the garage, etc). Free parking at all homes. After you make your reservation, you will receive an email with instructions for access, including a keyless access code if your home has keyless entry. You will hear from one of our local rental staff members and we will be available to assist you in whatever way we can! Other things to note Gateway Mountain Subdivision Guidelines: No RVs or TRAILERS are permitted in the Gateway Mountain Community. These cannot be parked at any location inside or around the gated community. No parking is allowed on roadways or at the gate entrances. Cars parked anywhere other than the house or designated parking locations will be towed. Firearms are prohibited in the Gateway Community. Fireworks are prohibited in the Gateway Community.
