Summary: Camp is located in picturesque Chemung County just below second highest elevated point. Cars with a low profile run the risk of scraping the bottom of the car. Drive slow. There’s not a paved road or gravel to the campsite. Enjoy wildlife, hiking, views, and many local attractions. Site is located between three state parks. Treman, Buttermilk and Taughannock Falls with Watkins Glen only a hop skip and jump away. Camp is 30 minutes from Ithaca, Elmira, Watkins Glen, Waverly and Sayre PA. 45 minutes from Corning. Take a day trip to our areas many attractions. A list of attractions, local restaurants, movie theaters and stores will be available upon arrival. Fall foliage is second to none. Don’t forget apple picking in the fall. Orchard 10 minutes away. Local farmers markets selling year round. The campsite is located on top of the county, expect wind and a few degrees colder. Anything not staked down could be airborne. The Space: Located just below the second highest point in Chemung County. Enjoy unobstructed views of the valley. Hike to the second highest point and enjoy the views. Seclusion at its best. We can also accommodate up to five tow behind trailers. Please message for pricing. Guest Access: This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. Group Camping: We welcome campers with larger parties, but the standard Tentrr setup only includes the canvas tent plus the additional pop-up dome tent. You may need and are encouraged to bring additional camping gear of your own if you plan on camping with a large party. Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. You may have as many campers in your party up to the maximum limit that is set for the listing, but please note that the only bed provided as a standard amenity is the one set up inside the canvas tent. Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean. Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days. What you should bring: -S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat -A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling -Bedding and pillows -Lanterns and lighting -Firewood for the campfire Other Things to Note: Do not cut any trees. If you need firewood please ask. During berry season, pick as much as you can. There have been bear sightings recently, please take care of your garbage and dispose of properly. This is a you bring in, you take out campsite. Any garbage left will automatically be charged at least $50.00, depending on the degree of garbage left. This will be determined by the Tall Timber owners. Any theft, damage to the camp site or surrounding property will be the sole responsibility of you the camper. Place setting for 5 is available, (bowls, cups, and plates). Can opener, and simple cooking utensils are also included. We do not provide eating utensils. Three extra cots are available for inside and a six person tent for the outside is also included. We have also included a few extra comforts at no cost. New York State firewood law Bring untreated firewood into New York from other areas. So if you're visiting from out-of-state, it's illegal to pack your own firewood. Move untreated wood within the state more than 50 miles from where it was grown. So if you're in Rochester heading to the Adirondacks, leave the firewood at home. If you are transporting firewood, you need documentation of the source, origin, or treatment. Your word isn't good enough. Interaction with Guests: Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property. If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper’s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set! Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your reservation confirmation on Airbnb. Your CampKeeper is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf, and they are unable to waive any cancellation fees (if applicable). If you have any questions regarding your reservation, Tentrr Customer Support can be reached at (888) 798-9093 or at hello@tentrr.com.
