Kellogg Creek Retreat

***Please read all info before booking*** This 1954 daylight ranch sits amidst a serene area with a burbling creek, towering trees, wildlife, and native plants. Outside offers relaxation and a park-like setting with expanding yard and many opportunities for play beside the creek. Inside, enjoy a spacious living and kitchen area and cozy bedroom with stunning views. Downtown Milwaukie and the MAX Orange line, which takes you into the heart of Portland, are less than a mile away. The space The private entrance to this midcentury daylight basement invites you into a large open living room and a kitchenette. Take in a view of the creek in the mornings from a queen-sized bed in the bright bedroom. The bathroom has a standing shower and there are additional sleeping areas on couch and/or air mattress. A pack-n-play is also available for the mini travelers. Enjoy the views, wade in the creek, catch crawdads, feed the ducks, watch for eagles, osprey, blue heron, and many other birds, and listen to the geese cutting their path in the sky. The park-like setting also includes a kid-friendly treehouse, slides, swing set, and tree swing. Settle in. Spread out. Play. This special space offers tranquility- a place to unwind and restore; and yet it also offers easy access to Portland’s iconic food, music, and arts culture. The rental space comprises the majority of the basement of our main home. Rock stairs, dirt paths and grass lead you down to the creek; and there are stairs leading into the rental, which may be difficult for some guests. We are early risers, but quiet and respect your right to sleep in! Guest access Please don't open the HVAC or closet doors in the kitchen area. Those are private. Other things to note Please do not wear shoes in the house. You can leave them inside or outside the main door. No smoking or vaping inside the house. The kitchenette contains a mini fridge, sink, toaster, pour-over coffee maker, microwave, and single electric, plug-in hot plate. No built-in stove top or oven are available. The mini fridge and freezer are very small - only 2 cubic feet. Our family, including mid-sized dog, live upstairs. We try to be as quiet as possible and ask you to please respect our home and quiet hours.
