Located in a prime area of the Salt Lake Valley, this 1,300 sq ft basement is all brand new and took a lot of blood, sweat and tears so please, do your best to take care of it. I live upstairs with a roommate and, although we are often gone, there is potential for noise. I installed noise canceling insulation in the ceiling but some noise still carries to the basement. Feel free to text or call if you need us to keep it down. The space is spacious for 4 guests, good for 6 guests, and will accommodate a maximum of 9 guests. There is a keypad entrance so you can check-in just about whenever you need without having to contact us. There is brand new air conditioner and furnace that work very well but the thermostat is upstairs. Feel free to text me anytime if you'd like it hotter/colder. This is a quiet neighborhood. Bedroom 1: This large bedroom has a King size bed with a Zinus Ultima Comfort Memory Foam 12 Inch Mattress complete with 3" of high quality "BioFoam" (the highest quality of memory foam), 3" of of Pressure Relieving Comfort Foam, 6" of High-density Base Support Foam, all covered Soft Knitted Jacquard Fabric, all combined to provide you with an amazing nights sleep. WARNING: I slept on this mattress once and now I hate all other mattresses. Bedroom also has mood lighting (BYO Marvin Gaye album), closet, night stands, lamps, and a 36" flat screen TV complete with an Apple TV set up with Hulu and Showtime logged in. The sofa can fold in to a full size bed, extra sheets in the closet, and is about as comfortable as you would expect a sleeper sofa to be. Bedroom 2: This slightly-smaller-but-still-pretty-big bedroom has a queen bed with a mattress topper, closet, hutch, laundry basket, night stands, and lamps. Oh and mood lighting, of course. The extra queen-size blow up mattress is in the closet with sheets and blankets. Laundry: We've provided a large capacity washer and dryer with available laundry soap and dryer sheets. There is also an ironing board, and iron. Bathroom 1: This bathroom offers a newly tiled shower with a clear glass door and shower panel. This shower panel is the Taj Mahal of showers. It includes waterfall, rainfall, misters, body jets, regular ol' shower head with 3 pressure settings, temperature display, LED color lighting, and a foot wash spout. Necessities and complimentary toiletries are provided including clean, soft towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, washcloth, and lotion. Bathroom 2: This bathroom offers a classic bathtub to soak in and if you like boring old shower heads over multi-function shower panels then you're in luck because this bathroom has one. It also has a mountain-themed shower curtain. Necessities and complimentary toiletries are provided including clean, soft towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, washcloth, lotion, and hair dryer. Kitchen: Brand new stainless steel appliances; 5-burner stove, fridge with ice maker, microwave, oven, dishwasher, and sink with disposal. The kitchen is well-equipped including a coffee maker, complimentary coffee, blender, ice-cream maker, and wine rack. The kitchen has a dining table for sit down meals. Kitchen complete with nearly all the conveniences of home. Living Room: Great open concept for family and friends, large 50" flat screen complete with Roku set up with Hulu and Showtime accounts logged in. The sectional folds in to a queen-size sleeper that can accommodate 2 guests (extra sheets and blankets in the bedroom closet). There is an available inflatable mattress for 2 additional guests. There is free high-speed internet throughout. The front room also has a vintage wood-burning stove with firewood available upon request for cozy nights (please abide by local fire restrictions, check whentoburn.com. Most days in winter months are strictly enforced no burn days, please ask me before making a fire in the winter as the flume may be closed). Outside: This is a shared space between the Airbnb guests and the home owners and their guests. Please feel free to contact us for further information if you are interested in reserving our space. You will have the basement to yourself. You can park on the right side of the covered carport. The door is right in front of your parking spot and has a code so you can come and go as you please. It is ground-level so you won't have to worry about any stairs. My brother and sister in law live upstairs with their white lab puppy. He is my cohost and happy to chat or help out when he can. The home is nestled in the heart of Cottonwood Heights, right at the base of two of the most amazing canyons in Utah. Brighton High School and the Cottonwood Heights City Hall are both around the corner. This is a quiet neighborhood. I highly recommend it when its snowing. An Uber to downtown usually costs about $15-25. Kitchen is a fully stocked kitchen with a coffee maker, blender, pots, pans, toaster, microwave and hopefully anything else you need. If you need a pressure cooker, ice cream maker, or anything else, just let me know. We may have them upstairs. PET OWNERS PLEASE READ- Some pets may be allowed on a case by case basis and a $100 per pet fee for the first 5 days then $20 per day per pet after that (I had to increase this due to some very irresponsible pet owners and significant damage). Approval is required before booking. Pets must be fully potty trained, house trained, and quiet. Dogs are not allowed on the beds and furniture. There is no fenced yard. Pet fee is required for emotional support animals. The door code will be sent to you on the day of your arrival. I change codes between guests and cannot send it earlier than that.
