Behind the house there is a pine forest and a large public car park. Tarquinia and its Etruscan museum is 7.6 km away. It is the centre of southern Etruria, an outstanding symbol of Etruscan art, with a fascinating medieval old town and important archaeological sites, which have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For a day trip to Rome: trains depart from the railway station 3 km away and arrive in the capital in 45 minutes. The location is strategically ideal for visiting the Tuscia region in the northern part of what is now Lazio. Civitavecchia and its harbour are 21 km away, Viterbo with its thermal baths Terme dei Papi is 51 km away.
