La Bastide du Claus Vitaverde – Lavender Cottage

We welcome you to our bastide, quiet in the Provençal hinterland. The Bastide du Claus, built by a squire of Louis XIV away from the small flowery village of Cruis (labeled Village and City of Character) has spanned the centuries. Its old stones welcome you under the benevolent shade of its century-old lime trees. Its 17th century pool, fed by the property's source, allows you to cool off. You are in the heart of Haute-Provence, 700 m above sea level. The space When you enter the bastide, you enter an old Provençal house with the charm of yesteryear, with all the comforts of today. Our Rosemary cottage for 4/5 people is rated 3* and has independent access, two bedrooms with firm and comfortable bedding, a storage space, a lavender-scented bathroom (shower) (with private toilet), a living room, a fully equipped kitchen/dining area (stove, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, etc.). The Romarin cottage has a terrace or garden area with lounge chairs, outdoor table, and umbrella. Each guest can walk in the park of more than one hectare, cool off in the 17th century old stone pool or read in the shade of the hundred-year-old lime trees, respecting each other's calm. All our spaces are non-smoking. Wi-Fi, barbecue, washing machine and ironing board with iron are shared. We also provide a folding crib and high chair for babies. The cottages are rented by the week only. For more flexibility, your arrival day can be Friday, Saturday or Sunday depending on availability. The Romarin cottage is on the 1st floor, southwest of the bastide, with a south view of the valley to the Alps. This is a 45 m2 2-bedroom apartment for 4 people: one with a 190 x 140 cm bed, and the other with a 190 x 140 cm bed. On request, possibility to add a 190 x 80 cm bed for a fifth person.
