A place to be together. 2,000 sq ft Hogwarts-style team space. 6 separate rooms reflecting each of the 4 Hogwarts Houses, the House Elf's Room and a Common Room. If you've been here before, please visit us at STLMINDFUL to possibly obtain a discount. 11 minute walk to Busch Stadium. Reassuringly expensive, but before you choose "that other cheaper place", you may want to see our reviews. PLEASE NOTE: THIS SPACE IS NOT FOR PARTYING. See our other spaces at STLMINDFUL if you're wondering about discounts and the such. Please note that the building has a Loud Noise Ordnance of 11pm every night of the week. If you plan to be noisy, this may not be the place for you. 5 single beds (on a triple bunk and a double bunk) in each Hogwarts House Room... 2 full beds (on a full bunk) in the House Elf's Room... 2 sofa sleepers (one queen and one full) in the Common Room... Each House Room has a full ensuite bathroom, plus there's an additional common area half bath. So there are 4 House Rooms, 1 House Elf's Room and 1 Common Room. EACH House Room (named after the 4 Hogwarts Houses as you've probably noticed from the photos) has 5 twin beds, contained on two bunk-beds. One bunk-bed is a regular double, and the other bunk-bed is actually a triple! EACH House Room also has 1 FULL bathroom. The lightweight people in your party (those under 140 pounds) should be on the upper bunks, especially the highest bunks. Multiplied by 4 then, there are 20 twin bunks in total in the 4 House Rooms. The House Elf's contains a full bunk-bed, thereby sleeping two people if no sharing, or 4 people if sharing. The Common Room contains two sofa-sleepers (one queen and one full), thereby sleeping two people if no sharing, or 4 people if sharing. Hence, in total you can sleep: 5 in bedroom 1 (Gryffindor) 5 in bedroom 2 (Hufflepuff) 5 in bedroom 3 (Ravenclaw) 5 in bedroom 4 (Slytherin) 4 in bedroom 5 (Dobby's Room) 4 in bedroom 6 (Common Room) In summary: there are 6 rooms, but only 4 Hogwarts House rooms each of which has an ensuite full bathroom. Each Hogwarts House room has 5 bunk beds (with a 165 pound upper limit for each of these 20 twin bunks). The House Elf's room has a full bunk bed. The Common Room has 2 sofa-sleepers (1 full, 1 queen). So, if people wish to sleep separately, there is capacity for 24. If 8 people can pair up, then there is capacity for 28. If you'd like to book both the Hogwarts Dorms AND The Jedi Temple nextdoor, then you do have to book them separately. There is an interconnecting door between the two spaces, which is only unlocked when both spaces are booked by the same group. Unlike Jedi Temple, Hogwarts Dorm has separate bedrooms, meaning it's not a big open space. Book with the confidence that your stay will be even better than multiple hotel rooms, both in terms of price and quality. Your large group will thank you for finding this listing. If we're more expensive than the other places you're looking at, it's simply because we're better. We know what we're doing and we know how to look after our guests, as our reviews show. We are acutely aware that too many hosts are not familiar with the concept of 'guest service'. We are proud to report that we have many return groups for all our various listings. We're always looking for ways to improve, so we need your feedback. If you're new to Airbnb, this booking will make you a fan. Rest assured that we will make your stay as comfortable as we would want it if we were the guests! The space is designed with a 'Hogwarts Dorm' theme, complete with all associated withcraft and wizardry! It is designed for all ages. If it's a group of kids, we do require at least one adult staying as well (often a coach or teacher), aged 21 or over. We do not (and legally cannot) supply alcohol but you can certainly bring your own if you're a group of 21+ people - just don't let it get out of hand please! There is a grocery store on the very same block (Schnucks) in order for you to stock the dry bar and the refrigerator! 'Hogwarts Dorm' is designed for folks who want to live in a dorm-like adult sleepover 'camp', while living out their fascination with the Wizarding World. It's ideal for a group of friends who'd rather not spend $200/night each on a cramped hotel room, and who'd rather hang out together in one fun space, rather than have to always go out to expensive restaurants and bars. There is a wet-bar area in the entertainment room as well as an open kitchen, and you can stock both by going to the grocery store (Schnucks) across the street (literally 50 yards away). This is a spacious place with many things to do including: • LED Smart TV with Roku • High Speed Internet • 2 Refrigerators with front water and ice-dispenser • Microwave • Regular range with oven • Coffeepot, Toaster There is an adjacent space/team-house on the same floor, known as The Jedi Temple, that can be booked separately. Pop over to the Schnucks grocery store (on the same block as Hogwarts Dorm) and make yourself a gourmet meal in the fully equipped kitchen. Sleeping Arrangements (Up to 24 guests can stay in Hogwarts Dorm): 8 bunk-beds (i.e. 20 twin mattresses) - two bunk beds in each of the four Dorm Rooms 2 queen-size sofa-beds (i.e. sleeps 4 in total) in the Common Room 2 bunk beds (i.e. sleeps 4 in total) in the House Elf's Room Let us know well in advance if you need a Pack'N'Play for a small child, and we'll make it happen. The Bathrooms: 4 ensuite full bathrooms in each Dorm Room, plus a half-bath next to the kitchen. Anyone staying in the House Elf's room or the Common Room will have to beg use of one of the ensuites - don't ask the Slytherin people, as they always say no. It is also great for hanging out with friends while practicing social distancing and being safe for one another. Always remember to be safe. PLEASE NOTE: THIS SPACE IS NOT FOR PARTYING. THESE SPACES ARE NOT FOR LOUD PARTIES. A $1,000 LOUD NOISE ORDNANCE WILL BE IMPOSED IF IT'S NOISY OR THERE ARE COMPLAINTS FROM NEIGHBORS AFTER 11PM. WE ARE REGULARLY VISITED (ESPECIALLY ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY LATE NIGHTS) BY THE LOCAL POLICE, SO WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT WE ARE NEVER SEEN AS 'PROBLEM PROPERTY'. WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE SURE OF THIS. THANK YOU. 'Hogwarts Dorms' is a carefully crafted space for gathering and mindfulness in The Downtown Health & Wellness building, as part of STLMINDFUL. You can do your own thing and we'll leave you alone, or you can use our additional services, such as massage, yoga, group meditation and acupuncture - just ask about them once your booking is confirmed and we'll send you a link with details, pricing and so on. No hard sell. Only book services if you want them. Key-cards to access the building's front doors after-hours, will be found upon entry to the space, to distribute among your group. All access instructions will be sent to you the day before your arrival, containing all you need to know, so please do review it and we do recommend you print if off and bring it with you. Guests have 24/7 access to the entire Hogwarts Dorms, but you’ll have to get access on the first day via the 24/7 Urgent Care Front Desk (street level) if it’s after 7pm on a weekday, or after 5pm on a Saturday or Sunday. They’ll let you into the Residences side of the building, but then you have to follow the access webpage instructions (which are sent to you the day before your arrival). There are certain areas of the space (Argus Filch's Room & Mrs. Norris' Room) which are locked, because they're for access to utilities, supplies, the elevator shaft, IT wiring and other things that you [hopefully] wouldn't be terribly interested in; basically places you don't need to go. You may wish to also know that there's no gas supply used in the building - it's all electric. We highly recommend that you read all the reviews from previous groups of guests before you book, but please do contact us if you have any questions about anything. Our goal is to make your visit so spectacular that you'll never think of staying in a hotel again. Please note: this space is intended for accommodation of guests. It is NOT an event space and it is not designed for parties. It is for staying and sleeping in. If you don't want to see your hosts, then we'll remain under our invisibility cloaks. I and/or my associates (Pam and Jimmy) are 100% reachable 24/7 to answer any questions you may have, make you feel comfortable getting in and out of the city, and provide a smooth check-in/check-out experience. Our goal is to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible and frankly, that you'll wish to recommend Hogwarts Dorms to other good people! We love Downtown St. Louis and we love to show it off. It's our goal that you have a fabulous stay here. This space is an allocated meditation suite, being part of The Mindfulness Suites at Downtown Health & Wellness. Although you may have an unguided meditation stay, please ask your host about registering your group for a guided meditation. Situated in the heart of downtown St. Louis (walk score of 97) you will be pleased to find a variety of cafes, restaurants, bars, shopping, theaters, and parks just seconds away. This is quite probably the best spot to stay in Downtown St. Louis. You're close to everything. You've got all the creature comforts (aka amenities) that you need. Many guests even spend more time in the Hogwarts Dorms than they do visiting other places. To us, that's awesome, but please go look at the City too! The vibes from the locals are one of the great things about this amazing neighborhood! You can easily get to the Hogwarts Dorms via metro from the airport. The 8th & Pine metro stop is just a 3 minute walk away. Everything one could possibly need is within walking distance including: • Busch Stadium (Cardinals Baseball) • America’s Center (Conventions) • Enterprise Center (Blues Hockey) • SLU Law • The Gateway Arch • City Museum • Bars • Restaurants • Shopping • and much more..... Frequently asked driving/walking distances: (1) Busch stadium (Ballpark Village, Cardinals Baseball etc): 11 minutes walk, or 4 minutes drive. (2) America's Center (Convention Center): 8 minutes walk, or 5 minutes drive. (3) Enterprise Center (Blues Hockey etc): 14 minutes walk, or 5 minutes drive. We will ensure that you have sufficient towels, sheets, toilet paper and soap for the number of people you've stated will be in your party. It is also great for hanging out with friends while practicing social distancing and being safe for one another. Always remember to be safe. You can certainly park at the meters on the street, which are free after 7pm (until 8am the next day) and all day Sunday as well as on holidays. You can also park in one of the nearby surface parking lots or garages. There is actually an open surface lot to the rear of the building, which is even more convenient, and many of our guests use that too. To clarify, please note that booking Hogwarts Dorms alone, does NOT include any kind of parking whatsoever. THE NOISE ORDNANCE FOR THE BUILDING IS 11PM. IF THIS ORDNANCE IS BREACHED THERE WILL BE A $1,000 FINE.
