The Maison des Compagnons

The Domaine des Carriers is a former limestone quarry whose old houses and outbuildings have been rehabilitated into charming cottages and bed and breakfasts. This space, a true haven of peace and history, is located a 5-minute drive from Clamecy, 46 minutes from Auxerre and 2.5 hours from Paris. The space The Maison des Compagnons was the meeting point for quarry workers after work. Small and friendly, it has been renovated with the intention of being a love nest, a haven of peace. This 15 m2 maisonette is full of charm, perfect for being alone or with a partner. Well isolated from neighbors, it has stunning views of the Canal du Nivernais, the Monts du Morvan and the rooftops of Chevroches. Featuring two terraces, with access to private gardens, it has not finished enchanting you with its charms... Designed as a studio, the maisonette offers all the amenities of large cottages concentrated in a small space: shower room, toilet, kitchenette and dining table. There is even a functional indoor fireplace, which, open to the outside, serves as a barbecue. The bedroom is in the mezzanine with a 160 × 200 double bed and has very high quality bedding. It is accessible by a ladder-staircase. The cottage has a functional fireplace in the living room, powered by wooden logs. Note: There is no sink in the cottage.
