With stunning mountain views, kangaroos grazing at your doorstep and a roaring open log fire, the Stone Cottage creates a space to step back from the hectic pace of modern life. The cottage offers you 60 acres of beautiful native bushland as your own secluded getaway. A place to unwind and reconnect with life’s simple pleasures, exquisite sunrises, glorious sunsets and some well-earned downtime all set at the foot of the Grampians National Park. The space As you enter this cottage you can feel the sense of history derived from all salvaged and saved building materials such as the leadlight windows from an old homestead and restored to feature either side of the fireplace.Even the dining table and chairs originate from a Methodist Church built in 1865, and the main pole supporting the loft was saved from the Seppelts Winery, Great Western.The Stone Cottage is tucked away at the end of the property, leaving you with a private retreat and has a large loft bedroom creating more space for you to relax or bring friends and family to stay.Main Features …• Three bedrooms (Sleeps 8 people)• Master bedroom in cathedral ceiling (Double bed)• Second bedroom (Double bed)• Third bedroom (4 bunk beds)• Redgum staircase to large double bedroom in cathedral ceiling• Hardwood kitchen fully equipped with modern conveniences• Open Wood Fireplace and Air Conditioning• Disabled facilities with wheelchair access Guest access We live on site at the reception building so we will greet you when you check in and then we will be around to help if you require any further assistance during your stay. Other things to note The Stone Cottage in one of four cottages set on 60 acres so it's a quiet peaceful area, with plenty of space between each cottage to give you total privacy. It's a safe environment for child to roam freely and we have many native animals residing on the property including kangaroos and emus. Plus free range chickens that are very popular with guests. There is a parking area by the cottage and walking tracks within the property for you to enjoy. There is also a large shared BBQ area for guests. We are 5kms from the centre of Halls Gap
