Hayloft at Kergudon Gîtes

Hayloft was an outbuilding of our historic home which has now been converted into a studio gîte for 2. Located in the hills of the natural park of Armorique within the Monts D'Arrée we are also within easy reach of the coast and many attractions we are the perfect romantic setting for a couple. Hayloft is a dog-friendly gîte and we welcome your canine friend. Unfortunately we do not allow other pets in the accommodation (cats, rabbits etc). The space Our home has had many roles in its near 400-year history including being a farm. Hayloft was constructed we think sometime in the 19th century as one of the outbuildings and is a separate building detached from the others. It has been converted into a cosy studio gîte which is the perfect romantic location for a couple to spend some time in this beautiful part of Finistère. The gîte has a small but modern and well-equipped kitchen for self-catering. The bathroom has a double ended bath and over bath shower with 2 sinks and WC with electric towel rail. There is an allocated car parking space adjacent to the gîte as well as 2 private outside spaces with garden furniture, parasol and a BBQ can be provided. All of our guests at Kergudon have access to our many communal facilities. These include a large heated 10 x 5 metre indoor / outdoor swimming pool and adjacent pool house with its own sofas and comfy space to relax (indoor / outdoor as it has a full height cover that can be opened in fine weather); boot room with a range of wellington boots for you to borrow for walking in the forest; a washing machine and a tumble dryer as there are no laundry facilities in Hayloft itself. Our bike store has mountain bikes available to our guests free of charge; we have a pétanque (boule) pitch and family games room with pool table, babyfoot, electronic darts and a selection of games and books. The games room has a projector and large screen and can be reserved and used as a cinema for a couples' film night although using DVD or BlueRay discs you will need to choose from our library, bring your favourite or have something downloaded on a laptop. We also have a well equipped fitness suite so you can maintain your physical routine when you are with us - or you can start one! David, one of the owners, is a fully qualified Personal Trainer who can generate a program for you or give you fitness training, yoga or pilates. Guest access We are in a very rural part of France so public transport is non-existent and use of a car is essential. There is parking available for 2 cars allocated to Priory at no extra charge. As this region also has miles of amazing, well maintained, roads with fabulous views, it is a popular destination for classic car owners. If you would like to bring yours we can provide undercover parking, lockable if required, again at no extra charge but we would ask you request in advance.
