Spend your time relaxing on the gorgeous private beach just steps from our home or enjoy one of the two pools and hot tubs on the property. If you choose the Beach Club pool, you can also enjoy terrific poolside service from the seasonal restaurant and bar. The fully equipped kitchen will certainly please your group's resident chef and offers all of the cookware, utensils, and spices that you will require to prepare an amazing meal. A full array of stainless steel appliances are provided including a French door refrigerator with ice maker, range, microwave oven, and a dishwasher to help you keep things sparkling clean during your stay. A regular drip coffee maker, a French press, a crock pot, and a toaster oven are also available for your use. A breakfast bar is the perfect place to share an informal meal with family and friends and a large dining room table is also available for the times when your entire group would like to enjoy a meal together. The main living area is bathed in sunshine from a wall of Galveston Bay facing windows. An expansive deck overlooks a beautiful pond and water feature with views of Galveston Bay in the distance. After a fabulous day spent at the beach or in the swimming pools, the living area offers the ideal spot for your whole group to unwind and relax. You can hang out on the cozy sectional sofa while you surf cable channels on the flat screen television or you can stream your favorite movie. You can also connect to the complementary Wi-Fi to check in on the real world back home if you so desire. Meanwhile, the private washer/dryer allows you to quickly and efficiently take care of the day's laundry. When it's time to turn in after a busy day, Monkey Sea Monkey Dune offers four luxurious bedrooms equipped with comfortable beds and plush bedding which will easily accommodate up to eleven guests and two small dogs with ease (a non-refundable nightly pet fee applies). Four full baths mean that there is no waiting in line in the morning or after a day at the beach. All four bedrooms also feature flat screen televisions with cable. The master suite features a king size bed, and an ensuite bathroom with a jetted garden tub, a walk-in shower, and a large closet. The master suite also features a large private deck overlooking a pond and Galveston Bay which is the perfect place to enjoy some romantic quiet time later in the evening. The second bedroom features a queen bed with an ensuite bathroom and a private gulf facing deck with peek a boo views of the beach and surf. The third bedroom also features a queen bed and an ensuite bathroom. The fourth bedroom is set up especially for the younger ones in your group and features two sets of comfy bunk beds. If you happen to be up for a fun filled day trip then downtown Galveston is only 25 minutes away. Galveston offers an endless array of attractions including Moody Gardens, the Pleasure Pier, and the Schlitterbahn water park. For the adults in the group the Strand Historic District offers plenty of shopping, night life, and entertainment. A boat launch is available across a toll bridge at the San Luis Pass County Park. Use is free and it is available 24/7. The boat launch is only a few minutes away from Monkey Sea, Monkey Dune. The entire house belongs to you during your stay. Beach gear including chairs, beach toys, boogie boards, and noodles are all provided. You will have access to the property via keys or a personal lock code. Derek and Malia live 30 minutes away and are always available via phone or text to answer questions and to help with any of your needs. Pointe West is located on the western end of Galveston Island and is just 23 miles from Galveston’s bustling downtown area and 70 miles from downtown Houston. The centerpiece of the Pointe West Resort is the gulf front Pointe West Beach Club which overlooks a pristine stretch of Gulf shoreline. The Beach Club offers a huge infinity edge pool, a children’s pool, a hot tub, and a seasonal restaurant and bar. The Beach Club also offers a game room with foosball, billiards, and ping pong, as well as a fitness center with locker room facilities. On the Galveston Bay side of the property only a few minutes from the Beach Club you will find the Sunset Pool which is heated and offers a second beautiful pool area with a short lazy river, a hot tub, a fire pit, and BBQ grills. Golf carts are a great way to get around the property and you can drive golfs carts to both pools. Please note that golf carts are not allowed on the Pointe West beach. Previous guests have been quite happy with Rick's Beach Rentals on FM 3005. They will deliver a golf cart to the house and pick it up at the end of your stay. A guest must be at least 25 years old to book. Younger guests are welcome but must be accompanied by parent or guardian. A reservation will not be finalized until a Rental Agreement is received via email and signed electronically. Up to two dogs are allowed with owner approval. Dogs must be over one year old and less than 30 pounds. A non-refundable fee of $25 per night for the first dog and $15 per night for the second dog will be charged prior to arrival. A $400 security deposit is associated with every booking. Per Airbnb policy, the deposit is not collected prior to your arrival. If damage occurs or house rules are violated during your stay then Airbnb will mediate the claim and collect the security deposit as appropriate. Guests who wish to use the Pointe West amenities must register with the Beach Club PRIOR TO ARRIVAL and pay a resort fee of $25 per guest (a fee of $25 will be charged to replace a lost wrist band). Upon arrival at the Beach Club, wrist bands and a gate code will be provided which provide access for the duration of your stay. The Sunset Pool swimming pool is heated and can be enjoyed year round. The Beach Club swimming pool is not heated and will likely be too cold to use during the Fall and Winter months depending on the weather. Both hot tubs are available year round. The outside of the house is monitored using video cameras for security purposes and to verify that our rental policies are upheld. Additional fees and taxes may apply.
