Within a few miles, you can be hiking on several great hiking trails. If you're looking to venture further, grab your hiking boots and explore the Appalachian Trail, Amicalola Falls State Park, and Benton MacKaye Trail, all of which sit a short drive from the property. Be sure to check out Dahlonega Square just 3 miles from The Lodge, centered around the Dahlonega Gold Museum Historic Site, this public square is home to delicious restaurants like Bourbon Street Grille, several regional Georgia wine tasting rooms, and unique shops! Channel your inner sommelier by touring some of the area's many wineries. With 8 wineries, such as Wolf Mountain Vineyards and Montaluce Winery, sitting within 20 minutes of The Lodge, it is no surprise that Dahlonega was voted "Best Wine Town, Runner Up" by Garden & Gun Magazine. Last but not least, we take the Covid-19 very serious. After a guest checks out we completely sanitize the entire lodge making sure no surface is left unsanitized. We then run a commercial “Ionizer” in every room of the lodge as well as the AC system. We feel that The Lodge is probably the most germ free facility in North Ga.
