The 2nd floor loft is completely private with private keyless punch code entry. The outdoor area outside the bedroom window to the right of the building is for your enjoyment. Rock formations behind house lead to Forest Service lands which you can hike. There is a logging trail just east of the property where you can enjoy a 1 mile (one-way) hike into the Forest Service which overlooks Crazy Horse Memorial at the end. We live on the property and are usually available for questions or any problems that may arise. We live in the wilderness where wildlife abound including deer, elk, wild turkey and coyote. The adjacent Forest Service offers mountain hiking outside your door. Local restaurants, golfing, bike trails and shopping are only 2 miles away in Custer, SD. Custer State Park is just east of Custer with 4 beautiful lakes for swimming or fishing, and thousands of acres of beautiful mountain wilderness for viewing wildlife, hiking, horseback riding or fly fishing. We are 43 miles from Rapid City, SD, if you are flying. Rental cars are available. Outdoor fire pit may be restricted due to dry conditions and high fire danger as we are surrounded by Forest Service land. No damage deposit required. Please leave the property in good condition.
