Casita Colorado was built and completed in 2014. The mission of this house was to build a classy, stylish, and modern house with the feelings of old architecture from reclaimed materials. Uniquely Colorado!! We started with 1800's barn beams from Wisconsin and added custom, artistic flavors throughout the house. Everywhere you look, there are little, artsy surprises. This custom and unique home is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need for a perfect family or friends vacation. The space Less than an hours drive from Denver and a mere 40 minutes from Boulder, The Casita is the perfect mountain getaway for any occasion. The Casita is a warm and cozy home that will be sure to bring the unique elements of Colorado to your vacation. The house was built in 2014 and was built mostly with all reclaimed materials. We started with beams from the late 1800's and timber framed the new structure. We used reclaimed windows, doors, granite counters, cabinets, flooring, stairs, and many unique architectural pieces that we found from Resource in Boulder and from various other reclaimed warehouses. The master bedroom features unobstructed continental divide views from the deck and also from the enclosed onyx shower, (that's right, a window to a window brings you snow capped mountain views from the master shower! Downstairs bathroom features a beautifully tiled torquoise shower with body jets and various shower settings, as well. The home has incredible custom lighting throughout and all switches are on dimmers to create a perfect moods for your stay. There is an outdoor hot spring hot tub, outdoor natural gas built in grill, surround sound stereo system with a 55 in flatscreen in the living room, speakers located throughout the house, a beautiful 48 in. Viking Range with double ovens, stainless top of the line dishwasher, kitchen aid cafe refrigerator with two ice makers. There are 3 coffee set ups: French press, regular coffee pot type brewer and an espresso machine. 1lb of organic, locally roasted coffee is provided with every stay! There is stainless and copper cookware, lots of organic spices, a juicer, a crock pot, kitchen aid mixer, commercial style blender, a soda stream(to make your own bubbly water). There are a plethora of board games and playing cards, puzzles, Colorado hiking maps, and local magazines for your entertainment. Direct Tv and apple tv, as well as some assorted DVD videos are provided. Wifi is strong and reliable! There is also in floor radiant heat in the kitchen and bathrooms, granite counters, wood, tile and flagstone floors, mini split ac/ heat pumps, pellet stove in the living room and a gas fireplace in the master bedroom. There are modern and very comfortable furnishings and bedding and towels provided. The house is available year round and is located just 15 minutes from Eldora Mountain Resort. Eldora is a small, local feeling resort with plenty of great skiing terrain. For beginners, intermediate skiers or advanced skiers, there is wonderful terrain to experience. We are also within 30 minutes of river rafting in Clear Creek canyon or Idaho Springs or 10 minutes to some great fly fishing holes. The home is perfect for a staycation for locals who want to host family, but may be looking for that perfect, Colorado location. Four Wheel drive or awd is mandatory during the winter months to access the home safely. Roads are county maintained and also maintained by the owner. We do have a plow truck in the event you have any issues and we do stay on top of snow plowing throughout the winter months. The Casita awaits! Guest access This is a full vacation rental. You have access to the whole house. Please keep in mind that during the winter months 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicles are mandatory. Not recommended, but MANDATORY to access the house safely. Oct-April/May depending on the year. Other things to note Rafting, skiing, fly fishing, mountain biking, hiking, mushroom hunting can all be accessed from the house or within a 15 minute drive to more major trailheads.
