Our sunny one bedroom apartment feels like being in the contemporary tree house - this upstairs apartment is nestled in the bush and the top floor overlooks the tree tops to views out to sea. A cozy warm sunny space to relax in. Hydrangea cottages offer a fabulous piece of paradise perched on a terrace with magnificent limestone formations, a lush garden and across the road from the Punakaiki lagoon and beach. Walk to Pancake rocks 450m way and nearby walks of Paparoa National park. The space Upstairs, the Rata Suite has huge windows facing the ocean, providing breath-taking views through the treetops out to sea. Relax on the balcony as you enjoy the beauty of the red sun setting over the Tasman Sea. The house is part of the 2 story house, downstairs is also available for rent for larger families or 2 couples. Rata comprises the top floor of a 2 storey house, you have a external entrance via a ramp through the bush or an internal stairwell for privacy and weather. Fall asleep to the sound of the ocean and be greeted in the morning by a chorus of native birdsong. You can wander down our drive, across to the stables and access the the lagoon and beach, the lagoon is glorious to swim an hour or so before and after high tide. The house is double glazed. A perfect stop for a few days to explore the beaches and walks around Punakaiki. Guest access Our property has laundry facilities for guests to use. We can offer free car parking while on the Paparoa Track if you stay with us. Also bike storage available. Other things to note 2 persons max with this booking.
