Apartment in a renwed historical countryhouse, in the hearth of Piedmont (Italy), close to ski resorts, the Alps and lakes. Our place is ideal for smart-working stays surrounded by nature, next to trekking and MTB trails in the vineyards. Guest access Guests also have independent access to the private parking and the apartment. Other things to note Here at Cascina Molino, you're in the middle of the countryside, and the best thing to do is enjoy the opportunities the place has to offer. Walks in the surrounding woods: we can offer advice and directions on where and how to get around. Hiking in the hills We can provide local paper maps and provide instructions on how to download apps and maps to install on your smartphone. For local trails, we recommend: Open Street Maps or Outdoor. Have you brought your mountain bike? We can provide local paper maps and instructions on how to download software and maps to install on your smartphone. Haven't brought your mountain bike or e-bike? No problem: 3 km from Cascina Molino, in Gattinara, you can rent them at Via IV Novembre 1, from Cominazzi Claudio. Helmets are not provided, however. Do you like horses and want to try some horseback riding? Just 4 km from Cascina Molino, in Roasio, you'll find the La Quercia farm and educational farm. Flying in a Tourist Plane If you'd like to experience flying, just 400 meters from Cascina Molino is an airfield (Gattinara Airfield) where you can fly ultralight aircraft with the expert pilot, Mr. Pier Giacomo Novelli. Wine and Vineyards We're in an area known for producing great and famous wines: Gattinara DOCG, Bramaterra DOC, and Coste del Sesia. Don't miss the opportunity to taste them and take a few bottles home, without first taking a trip to the vineyards. Ask us for more information and we'll provide you with directions to find and taste them. Want to spend a day exploring the surrounding area? Visit Valsesia From Gattinara, you can reach the wool-producing center of Borgosesia, then continue to Varallo Sesia, where you can visit the art gallery with major works by Tanzio da Varallo and Gaudenzio Ferrari. Then you can take the shortest and steepest cable car in Europe to the Sacro Monte, with its chapels and wooden statues, and immerse yourself in an atmosphere of religious serenity. Alagna Valsesia At the foot of Monte Rosa, you'll experience a special day in the mountains. Alagna, with its roots in the Walser population, will amaze you! And while you're there and it's spring or summer, why not visit the nearby refuges? The Rifugio Pastore can be reached partly by shuttle and partly on foot with comfortable hiking shoes. Rafting on the Sesia River If you want to experience rafting down an enchanting river, then the Sesia is the place to be. Skiing in Valsesia Is it winter? Then you can reach the Monterosa Ski area with the slopes of Alpe di Mera and Alagna. Or head to the Biella slopes of Bielmonte. If you're here in spring, visit the rhododendron basin of Oasi Zegna, also on the roads of Bielmonte. Lake Orta A pearl nestled among the mountains, about 40 km from here to the small town of Orta San Giulio.
