Gracious Home w. Pool in Best Area (Ansley Park)

[This property is available as a full-month rental for the FIFA World Cup. We gladly work with corporate clients.] This is a 1920's "great house" with swimming pool at a premier address. House has grand rooms, an attic suite, three porches, and an amazing sunken garden with pool. There is a cook's kitchen, gas BBQ, and driveway parking. It's about 5,000 sq. ft. Ansley Park is Atlanta's best neighborhood and is part of greater Midtown. Location is close to Piedmont Park and the High Museum. The space The ground floor features 5 big rooms. The large entrance foyer opens to the signature staircase. To your right upon entering is the library, which features a wall of built-in bookshelves. To your left upon entering is the formal living room, which then connects to the dining room. Perhaps the grandest room is the kitchen, which has a large island, a big seating area, a Viking stove, and lots of room for entertaining. Also on this floor is a screened-in sitting porch with a hanging bed, a side porch with a gas grill, and a generous Southern front porch. There is a powder room, too. The sunken garden and pool are a hidden oasis in the city. Recently relined, the pool offers a sparkling blue respite in summer, while the heated spa is fun in winter. The areas offers total privacy. A raised sitting/dining area at the end of the pool offers a restful sight line over the pool to the end of the garden. Back inside the house, the second floor has 3 generous bedrooms, each with its own full bath. As with the first floor, there are hardwoods throughout. The fourth bedroom is an entire attic/penthouse suite with a full bath, a kitchenette, and lots of skylights. Since the photos were taken, most walls are now white and the piano has been replaced by a 55" flat screen TV. Parking: 2 spots in the carport.[For FIFA, a 3rd fully garaged spot can be included.] More cars can fit, but you might lose the ability to turn around at the base of the driveway. (This abundance of off-street parking in the city is rare and valuable!) Guest access There is a basement in-law suite that is rented to a long-term tenant. The suite is totally separate, with an entrance facing the driveway. You would probably never see that person during your stay. There are multiple flat screen TVs (65", 55", 42"). They operate only on over-the-air antenna and "over the top" broadband using the Roku box. We currently subscribe to Amazon Prime, Netflix, Kanopy, and dozens of other channels. (All information on multimedia technology and content is subject to change due to rapid obsolescence!) The main house has an additional, fifth bedroom (not included in the listing) that is an owner lock-up. That bedroom can be made available for an additional charge. Bedrooms with more than one closet/armoire have only one closet/armoire available. Fireplaces are not available for use. No parties, i.e. not more than 10 people (or so) in the house. (We are not sticklers on this, but please check with us.) Other things to note This is the owner's primary residence. (That is why the house is better furnished than many rentals.)
