We rent Saturday to Saturday. Oceanfront cottage, large deck, south-facing view, at mouth of Kennebec River, mud flats, clamming, sand bar, fishing, birding, a child's paradise for exploring, PASS to All Maine State Parks, hi speed WiFi, cable, gas grill. Rent Saturday to Saturday. Wilbur Preserve is at the end of the road. It is a great elevated level spot to observe the area from. A birders paradise with osprey, eagles, great blue herons, glossy ibis, terns, snowy egrets, wimbrals and more. Seals hang out in the area. All of the yard space is access friendly all the way to the water. There is an elevated rock outcropping in the lower east part of the yard that is a great spot for bird watching or just relaxing or viewing the scenic view of the Sugarloaf islands straight out along with Popham village to the southwest. I am available most days and live on the property about 400ft away southeast. My house cannot be seen from the cottage. The area is on a small peninsular called Cox Head. It has some year round and some summer homes. You don't see many people but when you do, they are very friendly. Many have dogs. It is usually quiet except the week of the Fourth of July. The only way to travel from this area is by car. The city of Bath is about 20 minutes away. There is a Shaw's market there. There is Center Store about 4 miles away that has gas, liquor, coffee, and other items for convenience. It also has sandwiches, etc. There is also Spinny's resterant about 5 miles that has a variety of quick menu items, lobsters, ice-cream and beer & wine. A cooler and beach chairs are available for your use at the cottage.
