Oceanfront near Popham Beach

We rent Saturday to Saturday. Oceanfront cottage, large deck, south-facing view, at mouth of Kennebec River, mud flats, clamming, sand bar, fishing, birding, hiking trails nearby, great for exploring, PASS to All Maine State Parks, hi speed WiFi, cable, gas grill. Rent Saturday to Saturday. KAYAKS available apon request. No pets. The space Two and a half acres with beautiful a beautiful view of the water. There is a boathouse at the shore, an 1839 Captain's House and barn and our house also on the property. It is not in view from the rental property. Fort Popham is seen from the property along with the mouth of the Kennebec River. Wilbur Preserve is at the end of the road. It is a great elevated level spot to observe the area. A birders paradise with osprey, eagles, great blue herons, glossy ibis, terns, snowy egrets, wimbrals and more. Seals hang out in the area and sometimes join you when kayaking. Guest access All of the yard space is access friendly all the way to the water. There is an elevated rock outcropping in the lower east part of the yard that is a great spot for bird watching or just relaxing or viewing the scenic view of the Sugarloaf islands straight out along with Popham village to the southwest.
