Enter your access code on the keypad - a green light will flash to confirm it's accepted. Then rotate the deadbolt under the keypad away from the door frame and open the door using the handle. When you leave, press the Schlage button on the keypad, rotate the deadbolt toward the door frame to engage it, and lock the door manually - it won't lock on its own. If the light flashes red, the code may have been entered incorrectly; allow 5 seconds for the lock to reset and try again. After three incorrect entries in a row, the lock will become inactive for 30 seconds before accepting new attempts. Other things to note This mountain home doesn't have air conditioning. In summer, open the windows in the evening and early morning to enjoy the mountain breeze, then close them and draw the curtains mid-day to keep the space cool. Fans are available throughout the home.
