Solar Egas Moniz is a charming 19th century house, fully renovated, located in Paço de Sousa, Penafiel, 30 min from Porto & Douro Valley. It is ideal for a group of 8 to 20 friends. It has 10 double suites, a library and work table with a wood-burning stove, a dining room, a living room with a wine cellar and fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, a garden with an outdoor pool and children's playground, a games room and barbecue, designed to allow for peaceful and tranquil days in a rural setting. The space » Check-in: 16h-20h (it should be arranged the check-in hour to receive the key). » Check-out: until 11h (it should be arranged the check-out hour to return the key and to refund the security deposit). » Guests should contact us 1 week before arrival, to inform us their flight number and the arrival time at the accommodation to arrange key collection and to do the check-in. » Early and Late check-ins have an extra cost and need to be arranged prior to arrival. » Additional fee for early check-in/late check-out: 50€. » Free access to the kitchen and to all the house including the pool and the gardens. » No Team in the House during the stay (only in the check in moment and on the morning or on the afternoon to watering the flowers/vegetable garden; eventual technical maintenance of the house / pool). » Assistance 24h/day from the owner in just a call. » Breakfast is not included. » Special offer on the arrival - A welcome basket including: Port wine, water, fruit, homemade cake, bread, cheese, ham, milk, coffee and tea. » Includes the offer of fresh bread every day left at the main door. » Non-smoking Hotel » Families & Children are welcome (2 baby cots available). » Minimum check-in age of the person responsible for the reservation: + 18y. » Weekly cleaning is included for guests staying a week or longer (which includes a change of bed and bath linens). Guests that stays 7 nights, the weekly cleaning is on the 4th day. » Extra cleaning: we can provide at an extra cost per cleaning (includes change of bed sheets and towels, cleaning rooms, kitchen, dining room and living room). » Exterior pool is open from May to October. » Our main gate is narrow, but big cars like mercedes vito can pass on the gate. You just need to be careful! » It is forbidden to stop or park at the stone entrance gate because it is the same entrance of the neighbour. Cars should be parked in front of the main house. » The other rooms that were not booked will be closed. » A contract will be signed by the hotel and the client considering the days that are rented. » External visits are not allowed, it means that only can be and stay at the house the people that did check in and filled the check in form. If an external person visits the house, the hotel must be informed and it will be charged 80€ per person/per night.
