Our own residence, a striking house from the early 1930s, is at a respectable distance from the guest house. This former schoolmaster's house was built at the time as a home for the local school principal, who performed his function at the local school. For several years, this house has been designated as a municipal monument. Experience ultimate freedom in our lush, spacious backyard and discover the permanent magical inhabitants of this lush green kingdom. Here, garden walls almost completely surround the area, with various seating areas that both bathe in the sun and are hidden in the shade. In our tiny piece of forest, guarded by some majestic trees and adjacent to the backyard, but large enough, and with a little luck, you can discover the diligent woodpecker here or perhaps spot other birds over the adjacent meadows. Fortunately, the neighboring village of Ell is only 2 kilometers away in case you (unexpectedly) need groceries quickly. There you will also find an excellent baker and a traditional butcher, both regularly awarded for their craftsmanship. Across the street, there is a cozy neighborhood store (Spar) with a spacious and high-quality assortment and free parking lots, and there is an ATM available in this place. It gets even more convenient because the neighborhood store is open even on Sundays, so you always have easy access to all necessities, regardless of the day.
