This eco accommodation is an hour drive north of Port Douglas and 30 minutes away from Cape Tribulation and features private and enchanting fresh water swimming pools. The retreat is situated amongst two World Heritage areas - the Daintree Rainforest, and the Great Barrier Reef, sitting in rainforest mountains sloping down to the coastal strip. The space Stonewood Retreat is an eco-friendly sanctuary, in lush Australian Tropical Rainforest within the Daintree National Park. Stonewood Retreat is set in the most natural rainforest setting. The open plan design, brings the beautiful outside in and compliments the forest serenity. The Natural Pools are beautiful , with a series of terraced waterways only a short stroll from our front door. You can relax on the large boulders in the sun or enjoy a swim in the crystal clear pools. Whether your intention is to relax and recharge with some peace and quiet or get outdoors and explore the amazing Daintree Rainforest and Great Barrier Reef, this getaway provides everything you need to make your holiday an amazing experience. Access details will be sent on confirmation. Other things to note Guests need to travel over the Daintree River Ferry, which operates from 6am until 12pm each day. The cost for the ferry is about $40 return and can be paid by cash or card. Depending on the time of year, there are sometimes lengthy delays at the ferry.
