Come stay with us in our beautiful cozy cottage, on a small lot located in the heart of Copake Falls, walking distance to Taconic State Park. Enjoy great farm to table dining, ski the Berkshires (just under 10 minutes to Catamount Resort), hike to Bash Bish Falls, bike the Harlem Valley Rail Trail, and swim in the spring fed iron ore pit during the open season. Our beautifully restored cottage is just under 2.5 hours from NYC. We have two bedrooms that comfortably accommodate four. Relax in a deep soaking tub, or enjoy some wine and recline on the large deck. Access to our house and property. Please do not go on or trespass on neighbor's property. Occasionally, mostly as desired by guests. We are always happy to share tips of activities and ideas of what to do, even a glass of wine. Set on a dead end road in town with plenty of room for kids to run and play, ride bikes and enjoy being outdoors. Grill your own grass fed beef, pork or poultry from nearby farms. 5 minute walk to the Taconic State Park. Pick up locally grown organic farm produce Saturday mornings from the Copake-Hillsdale Farmer's market. In town, walk to deli, restaurant & bar, Taconic State Park, otherwise a car is needed to travel further, though some more inclined guests have biked up from Wassaic Train Station, the last stop on the Harlem Valley line from Grand Central. Copake Falls is located in Columbia County, NY. Checking in early: If there are no previous guests departing on the day of arrival guest can check in early. We do NOT allow pets! Visit local farms for apple picking, go hiking, biking, fishing and swimming. Lots of antiquing, tag sale and barn sale opportunities nearby. Motorcycling and horseback riding. Swimming in season in the state park and at the out of season at the local pool. Egremont Golf course is 20 minutes away. Enjoy reading and occasional cultural events at the local Hillsdale Library.
