There is LOTS to do within walking distance--with a pizza place AND a convenience store right across the street(!), a nice little pub and an upscale seafood restaurant, a park and mini golf, ice cream and coffee shops, gift shops, boat and bike rentals--all within walking distance! And if you don't feel like walking there is also a trolley stop right in front of the complex--that trolley will take you anywhere along the beach--for miles either way! Busch Gardens, Adventure Island, Lowery Park Zoo, and several museums are less than an hour away! AND we're only about an hour and a half's drive to Orlando--home of Disney World, Sea World, and Universal Studios!!! Having a car is convenient but not a necessity. Rental cars are pretty inexpensive in Florida so you may want to check it out--it would certainly make things like grocery shopping easier. But there is a convenience store right across the street, and there are several restaurants within walking distance--a pizza place diagonally across the street, a nice little pub and an upscale seafood restaurant, a park and mini golf, ice cream and coffee shops, gift shops, boat and bike rentals--all within walking distance! And if you don't feel like walking there is also a trolley stop right in front of the complex--that trolley will take you anywhere along the beach--for miles either way! We have Uber, Lyft and taxis readily available. And most of the restaurants deliver. There is also a shuttle service from the airport that'll take you right to the unit and back at the end of your trip.
