Welcome to our charming refurbished 1930s farmhouse set on 5 serene acres. Enjoy modern amenities like a hot tub, fireplace, firepit, and BBQ grill with all the tools you need for a perfect cookout. The backyard, facing south, offers breathtaking sunrises & sunsets, surrounded by mature trees & delightful bird song. Spot bunnies, wild turkeys & deer often roaming the fields, adding to the tranquil atmosphere. Ideal for a peaceful retreat or a memorable getaway w/nature’s beauty at your doorstep. The space Wish Upon Farms is the perfect place to get away. Close enough to shopping, dining, adventure and entertainment and yet far enough to feel like you’ve escaped to your own private oasis! Set on 5 acres of land, this serene space is where folks go to decompress from daily life. Get inspired. Begin to dream again. Compose a song. Write a novel. Paint a picture. Or just sit back, relax and enjoy the peaceful scenery. You'll often see deer grazing in the surrounding fields. Beautiful songbirds regularly soar through the backyard. There is a pair of binoculars for use during your stay. The patio features a daybed swing, a hot tub and a fireplace with horseshoe-shaped sofa seating. There is also a gas grill and a set of bbq tools for use during your stay. Relax by the fire-pit on one of the six adirondack chairs. Inside the home, you'll find 3 bedrooms, a living room, laundry room (washer, dryer, steamer, iron and ironing board), library, and a fully equipped kitchen with gas stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, Cuisinart coffee maker, Keurig coffee maker, utensils, pots, pans, plenty of spices, oils, Vitamix blender and Cuisinart food processor. We stock the refrigerator with some common groceries (think bacon and eggs) for the convenience of our guests. We simply ask for a donation so we can restock what you consume. The smaller of the 3 bedrooms has a library and small kitchenette. There you'll find another microwave, an air fryer and a mini-fridge. The living room features a record player and a 65" LG OLED 4k smart tv with access to Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.* (*You'll need to log in to your own account to access.) There is a queen sleeper sofa in the living room so technically this property can sleep 7; just know that we do not condone parties and also there is a guest fee for any guests beyond five. We are also walking distance to "The Barn at Sycamore Farms" so if you're attending a wedding or other event there, this is the perfect spot to spend the night. Arrington Vineyards (1.9 miles) ~ Franklin Main Street (10 miles) ~ BNA Nashville Airport ~ (30 miles) ~ Pilgrimage Festival (13 miles) ~ CMA Fest (27 miles) ~ Broadway Honky Tonks (26 miles) Guest access Guests have access to entire home & yard with the exception of: 1) two locked closets where we keep our personal belongings out of your way 2) the RV on the east side of the property 3) the shed in backyard where we store equipment Other things to note We are just off of Murfreesboro Road/Highway 96 so you’ll hear some traffic but other than the occasional siren, guests have found it’s mostly white noise. We also have an Alexa device in each bedroom for on-demand music which can also be used to mask any outside sounds. We are in the country so you may see some critters around; wild turkeys, groundhogs, skunks (rare occasions), bunnies, opossums, etc. Please don’t leave doors open as you will undoubtedly invite flying insects inside. The shower in the main bedroom is old and many parts don’t work.* Please read the details in the house manual before using this shower. The only option is a hot shower. If you want a cooler or cold shower, you’ll want to use the shower in the guest room. *We are currently looking for a contractor to have this bathroom remodeled. Also, our motorhome is next to the house. We are currently trying to sell it. It remains locked when the home is occupied as we do keep personal belongings inside. ************************************ House Rules: NO smoking NO drugs (duh) NO children under 13 allowed without written permission from the owner as our home is not suitable for little ones. NO pets - we are HIGHLY ALLERGIC to lots of different pet dander and therefore cannot accept pets under any circumstances!!! NO parties - only registered guests allowed on property without written permission from owner. MAXIMUM number of guests is the number you registered for!!! * Ex. House sleeps seven but if you registered for four, the maximum number of guests is four. * There is a $65 per person per night fee for each guest beyond 5. Please follow our house rules when using the hot tub. * NO glass in hot tub * Please rinse off in the house shower before entering the hot tub. (No lotions please.) * NO bubbles, soap, lotion, etc should be added to the hot tub. There will be a $300 damage fee for anyone breaking these rules. NO SMOKING - in house or near patio furniture. This includes cigars, cigarettes, vaping, marijuana, etc. There will be a $500 penalty for any guest breaking this rule. ONLY TOILET PAPER should go in the toilets. We are on a septic system at this farmhouse and anything other than toilet paper in the toilets will do major damage. Please throw any wipes, feminine hygiene products, etc. in the trash and not the toilets. Failure to comply will result in a $500 penalty.
