The Hacienda del Sol is a Historic Bed and Breakfast built in 1804. The Hacienda was Mabel Dodge Lujan and Tony Lujan's first home together in Taos. Guests that have stayed at our Inn included Georgia O'Keefe, Ansel Adams, Willa Cather, DH Lawrence, etc. We have two big beautiful lawns in the back of our Inn with clear sunset views of Taos Mountain. We serve a delicious Gourmet Free breakfast. The Love Apple, (A+ restaurant), shares our driveway and is walking distance for dinner. The space Adobe is part of the oldest section of our property that was built in 1804. It is located on the first floor with a private outdoor patio. Your accommodations includes: a designated parking spot, King Bed, luxury sheets / towels / pillows / soaps / shampoo / conditioner, Wood-Burning Kiva Fireplace, private bathroom with Shower, Saltillo tile floors, Vigas, Mini Fridge, TV and our complimentary Gourmet Breakfast. Our Gourmet Breakfast is complimentary from 8-9:30 and includes; Local Apothecary Coffee, Zumex fresh squeezed OJ, homemade Quiches, Proscuitto egg cups, Scrambled Eggs, Tamales, Potato Gratin, Chobani Yogurts, Fresh Assorted Pastries, Assorted Breads, Fruits, Avocados, Cereals and more. Our property is around 1.5 acres, and our adobe structure encompass over 10,000 square ft. Common areas include the Library / Lounge, Dining area for Breakfast, a six person commercial Hot-Tub (Robes provided in your room), Two giant Lawns to daydream under the trees or lounge in our lounge chairs to take in the majestic views of Taos Mountain. Guest access Our guests have full access to all of the accommodations we offer at our Inn. Your individual code will give you access to all the doors on our property during your stay. During your stay Please respond to the Welcome Text message that we send out the day of your arrival to get in touch with our staff. Other things to note We are 1 mile from the center of Taos, in a quite and beautiful nook called El Prado. Arroyo Seco (enchanting small town with food, art and shopping) is 15 minute drive away from town. Taos Ski Valley is about 20 mins drive beyond Arroyo Seco. Rio Grande Gorge Bridge is 15 minute drive. Ojo Caliente Hot Springs about 30 minutes pats the Rio Grande Bridge. Santa Fe is about 1:45 drive. Lots to do and see in the area!
