Three unique mountain areas (Snowshed, Ramshead and Killington Peak) make up Killington’s gravity-fueled bike park. It is New England's fastest growing downhill mountain bike park and features three high-speed lifts serving over 30 miles of trails. From beginner to expert and classic New England to Gravity Logic's signature flow trails, Killington Bike Park has terrain suitable for everyone. And trust us, it is amazing! The Snowshed Adventure Center is open in summer/fall and is an outdoor playground which has the thrills of zip lines, ropes course, the BEAST roller coaster, jump tower, alpine tubing and a fun maze. Kayaking/paddle boarding, Segway and ATV tours and rock climbing adventures can also be arranged. In winter, the World Class ski resort of Killington covers six distinct mountains including Killington Peak, the second highest peak in the State of Vermont at 4,241ft. If that doesn’t impress you, knowing that there are 212 trails, 28 lifts and 92 skiable miles should. Terrain is varied and offers trails for the beginner to the double black diamond trails for the more experienced skier/rider. Killington has hosted the Audi FIS women’s World Cup and the opportunity to ski/ride down “Superstar” (the World Cup run) shouldn’t be missed. There is something for everyone at Killington. If you prefer not to be fueled by adrenaline driven sports, retail therapy must get a mention. In addition to the local shops around Killington and in Rutland, the quaint towns of Woodstock and Queechee are a 30 minute drive away. The spas at the Grand Hotel and at The Woods are top rated and are minutes away from the condo. In summer, Killington mountain hosts wine, beer, music and locavore festivals. Killington offers a brewery and distillery and many excellent restaurants. And if you really just want to stay put, the Whiffletree outdoor heated pool is open in summer and is a great place to hang out and simply do nothing! No pets and no bikes in the condo.
