Virtually steps from your door, the Dordogne calmly flows and leads you to enjoy amazing views as you stroll the peaceful hiking trails that begins from our estate. An easy 15 minute walk to the village centre of Saint Cyprien, allows easy access to all stores and cafes. The majestic Dordogne river speaks for itself, as you will find out, but beyond the river, the medieval village of St.Cyprien offers excellent restaurants, cafes and shops, all within 2kms of the cottage. Within a 30 minutes drive, you can enjoy the spectacular beauty of chateaus, stunning scenery, caves, canoeing, boat trips and amazing locally produced food and wines. Virtually on your doorstep at the cottage, you have access to a number of excellent waymarked walks of various lengths, both circular and linear. For those who enjoy rambling, we provide an excellent base to take full advantage of the stunning beauty this region offers. Having the use of a car is by far the best way to explore and fully appreciate the area. St. Cyprien train station is 1km from the cottage and is on the main line between Bordeaux and Sarlat.
