MerryOtt's Sleepy Hollow--the extra guest suite

This private guest suite (bedroom and private bathroom) is in the bottom level of our home. Features: soaking tub/shower, extra long twin bed, ottoman that folds out into a cot that little and big kids love to sleep on even when it is still in the closet, tv, dresser, desk/chair, WiFi, parking, central air and fan/heater. Foyer/Hallway includes your private use of a microwave, small refrigerator, electric tea kettle, dishes. Views are all outside the suite. Shared laundry room. The space We live on a wooded hilltop property with 5 acre of seclusion. There are breathtaking views of the valley and coastal hills. Roaming free are wildlife such as the deer, squirrels, chipmunks and birds galore. Guest access Sleepy Hollow: 1. If you are with guests of Deer Haven (the 1 bedroom basement apartment) you will access your suite through Deer Haven and share the patio and grounds in front of Deer Haven. You will park next to the side entrance door, parallel to the door. 2. If you are not part of the Deer Haven rental, you will enter the main house via the front door, and then go down the stairs. The outside area available is the oak cove by the swing. One parking space will be near the front of the house, in front of the small garage door or the one furthest to the right (nearest the house). During your stay When we are traveling, a house sitter or family member will usually stay in the main house (top 2 floors) to care for the home. We can interact through AirBnB. There are security cameras throughout the house but not in your suite. Other things to note Sleepy Hollow guest Suite--Other things to know: Extra long bed and linens. Temperature control: The thermostat to our heating and cooling is controlled by those renting the 1 bedroom apartment (front half of the basement). Should extra temperature control be desired, a fan and heater are provided. Behind the double brown doors in your hall: That apartment is used by those who rent Deer Haven (the big 1 bedroom apartment). Laundry room: (located beyond the red curtains) is shared by others in the house, so occasionally another might walk down the stairs and thru your hall (foyer) area where your kitchenette is located. No one walks near your bathroom or bedroom. SUPPLIES FOR YOUR STAY: Should you need something for your visit, look behind the red curtains. If you are a long term guest, we ask that you buy your own supplies which helps us to keep our rent lower, and because we are often not there to restock. DEPARTURE DAY: Cleaners don't usually come for a few days after you leave. Therefore, here is what we ask that you do: a. Remove all trash/food/personal belongings. Big trash bins are on Silverado Drive, to the left as you leave our driveway. b. Any wet or damp towels, etc should be draped over the tub (not piled up as they will start to mildew). c. Flush the toilet. d. Wash any used dishes. e. Turn off all lights. f. Doors: 1) No need to lock the doors to your suite. But leave it's little key! 2) Please lock the main door to the house as you exit. 3) House Key: Return to the lock box which hangs on the front door. Minimum $45 charge for key replacement.
