Its unique name derives from its foundation: the house rests entirely on a rocky massif, known locally as 'côtos', giving it a rustic and authentic personality, perfectly integrated into the landscape. The space The building extends over a ground floor, or basement (where a small local grocery store once operated, a space limited by the surrounding rock, roughened by several meters to make it possible to form the current area, kitchen, living/dining room and service toilet), by the top floor, integrating three bedrooms, all of them with private bathrooms, and by the attic, intended for games and leisure space. It has openings that allow you to enjoy the idyllic surrounding landscapes, in all four directions. It is located in the village and parish of Castro Laboreiro (which was a village and county seat between 1134 and 1855), in the Municipality of Melgaço, on the northeast side of Serra da Peneda and on the west side of the Serra de Laboreiro, in territory that borders neighboring Galicia, Spain.
