Our Vintage Lakefront Cabin is just that, a step back in time to a more relaxing era filled with warmth and perfect for making new memories. The Cabin has everything you'll need to make your stay wonderful and the surrounding area of Chetek, Rice Lake and Eau Claire offer all the amenities that you may want nearby. This mid-century cabin has gentle honey colored solid wood walls, earthy colors and views of Lake Chetek from almost every room. The cabin beckons for relaxation. Your days can be spent exploring the outdoors. Kayaking (two provided) in the fall, roasting marshmallows in the outdoor fire pit, or playing in the snow or on the ice in winter. The two cozy bedrooms provide space for you to rest; while the large living area with a stone fireplace will keep you warm on those cool fall or winter evenings. Curl up with a book, spend the evening playing games, or just relax to the sound of music being played on the record player. After you prepare your meals in the fully equipped kitchen, enjoy the time with family or friends in the dining room or on the deck to take in the sunrise or the sunset over Lake Chetek. You are welcome to bring your own boat (dock provided and "put in" less than 1/2 mile down the road) or ATV. We have plenty of space to park. We have several areas perfect for working on the go or for a child in virtual schooling. Enjoy some slow down time or take advantage of the adventure the north woods can offer. Guests may access the cabin from the parking area on the East side of the building through our three season sun room. The property is professionally managed by an off-site Manager who is available by phone for your convenience. The cabin also has 'exterior only' installed cameras to provide additional security for our guests. You're on an island in Lake Chetek with year around residents who are kind and quiet. A gentle walk around the island on the main paved road will net you just over a mile each time you choose to have a walk. You'll want a car on the island, but four wheelers and snowmobiles are in use here too! Bikes are welcome in this area. An air mattress is provided, with all linens, to accommodate 6 guests.
