The location couldn't be more perfect. You will feel tucked away in a magical place, yet be only minutes from Blowing Rock and the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is convenient to Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis, Grandfather Mountain, Mast General Store, hiking, waterfalls, and breweries. Other things to note This home was built to take in all of the wonderful views of the mountains. It is the most comfortable home that I have ever lived in. You wake in the morning to the sounds of birds and nature. The view is to the south looking over the John River Gorge. The address is technically Lenoir NC but that is confusing. Lenoir is 20 miles away and this house sits high on the wooded Ridge line just 2.5 miles from the village of Blowing Rock. Yes, it only takes about 5 minutes to drive into the town! The area is Pisgah national Forest and is special in that this area will not be developed in the future due to the National Forest designation. In the winter the view is also very enchanting due to the fact that far, far in the distance you can see the East West corridor of I- 40. We call it the ribbon of lights that run just along the horizon line way out beyond the mountains. It highlights the beauty of the multi layered view of the mountains.
