Description

Happy Trails Hideaway is located in the heart of Big Bear, just blocks from Oktoberfest, 1/2 mile to the lake, and a few minute drive to Snow Summit & Bear Mountain. Our 1550 square foot contemporary-rustic home, built in 2007, boasts vaulted ceilings, a rock fireplace, large granite kitchen with island and bar seating, an open floor plan, lots of windows, seating on our front and back decks, BBQ, foosball, firepit and more! This home is intended for families, not parties/retreats. Thank You! The space We have included amenities in this home that we enjoy when we travel! But first, please do not request to book if you plan to bring pets or have more than 6 adults (max 8 people total if with kids…thank you). Often times we receive free items from companies that are looking at the Airbnb guest market… help yourself but please leave some for others. Entry/Living Room: Coat rack, shoe holder, and table with Wi-Fi password, phone charging station and blue tooth speaker. We also have a large sectional couch, Pac Man, foosball, ceiling fan, and front door security screen so you can enjoy the mountain breezes when weather permits. Kitchen: Granite kitchen with bar seating and all the cooking amenities you should need. We have Drip, Keurig hot, and new Keurig Cold Brew coffee makers (coffee grinder, coffee beans, K-Cups, creams, sugars provided), Britta filtered water, and a modest supply of spices and oils. We also provide 1 paper towel, dish soap, sponge, trash bags, and dish washing detergent. You will be disposing of all trash in our trash cans located conveniently on our driveway. Trash pick up is early Monday morning. Dining/Family Room: Large table for 6-8, large rock fireplace (firewood not provided, recommend Dura-flame-type logs), sectional sofa & 55" Smart TV. Please note… when using the fireplace, before lighting, crack a window, make sure the heater is not running, and have small kindling to help warm the flue before adding wood (we have some fire starters for you). This will prevent smoke from coming into the home… you need to draw it up the chimney. Bedroom 1 & 2 (nearly identical): Queen beds, ceiling fans, large closets, box fan in the closet, and new 1080 Vizio Smart TV with streaming apps. *In both closets you will also find baby/toddler essentials: Pack & Play (plz bring your own bedding), Bumbo seat, portable highchair, baby bath, potty seat, and baby monitor. We also have a sleeping mat to give you more sleeping options for your little ones as well as a few games for all ages. Master Bedroom: King size bed, ceiling fan, walk-in closet, and cable TV. The master closet contains 2 self inflating air mattresses and a foot massager for your enjoyment. Bathroom 1- located in the hall with toilet, vanity, bathtub & shower Bathroom 2- located in the master bedroom, private toilet with sliding barn door, dual sink vanity & (powerful) shower! Separate laundry room (detergent & dryer sheets provided)… please do not overload! Front/Back Yard: The front yard is fully fenced with a new cement patio, fire pit, small play house/slide for young children and outdoor string lighting for that vacation vibe . The front deck has a BBQ and picnic table. The backyard has a small deck with table/chairs with enjoyable mountain view. We recently added turf and new fence! The back door also has a security screen door. *We know you expect a lot from our home and we work hard to keep everything updated and in working order. In return, we expect our renters to be upfront and transparent when booking our home. If you have a question, or specific concern, please ask before booking. Once you book our home, we will send you our booking agreement with detailed information about our home with a few house rules and expectations. The renter is responsible for notifying their guests of the rules and expectations in advance of your stay. If there is something in our home that needs our attention, please notify us within the first hour of your arrival. *Security Deposit: Will be collected by Airbnb. Reasons for a charge against your security deposit include loss or damage to the home/property, not leaving the home by 11am the day of checkout, the need for excessive cleaning, failure to remove trash from the premises, not following house rules/requests including smoke damage from cooking/fireplace, exceeding the number of guests/cars, cigarette ( or similar) butts/smoke/damage, pets of ANY kind, failure to lock doors/windows, need for manager visit &/or eviction for house rule enforcement. *Any renter/reservation made under a false pretense, illegal internet usage, &/or other illegal substances/activity, failure to follow house rules, will forfeit ALL funds paid to the owner by way of Airbnb... renters and their guests must vacate the premises immediately (lock changed & personal possessions will be stored in the garage if renter cannot respond to request in a timely manner). *Maximum occupancy is 8 people with no more than 6 adults. There is room for 2 cars on the flat driveway. You can park an additional car on the street (at your own risk) when there isn't a snow berm. The garage will not be accessible as it stores our jeep. *Nothing should be removed from the property except the renter's own personal belongings... including trash, perishables items, and food from refrigerator/freezer/cupboards. We cannot be responsible for personal possessions inside, or outside, our home. *We cannot be held responsible for any mechanical/electric/plumbing failure on our property during your stay. We will make every effort to repair/fix the problem. Unless you request otherwise, you give permission for our mountain manager Michelle (&/or husband), or repairman, to enter the home upon us notifying you of the approximate time and date in advance. If you are not able to grant access, the problem will not be able to be fixed, and we will not reimburse any funds. If you are suspected of a Big Bear code violation, or house rule, our manager has the right to investigate by accessing the property.w Guest access Guests will have the entire home minus one hall closet and the garage. Our garage is not child-safe so we cannot make it accessible… sorry! Other things to note Happy Trails Hideaway prides itself on its comfort & cleanliness! You work hard and we want your vacation to be enjoyable. All we ask is that you do not exceed our occupancy, do not bring pets, do not smoke in the home, and that you treat our home with care.
