Spectacular mountain views await you at High Ridge Haven - a beautiful home that sleeps up to 7 guests on 10 private acres with stunning views of Whiteside Mountain. Our home is set on a ridge taking advantage of mountain views from every window and the wrap-around decks. While the location feels delightfully off the grid, it’s located just four miles from Cashiers and 10 miles to Highlands. The setting is breathtaking the moment you drive down the gently winding driveway lined with towering trees and rhododendron bushes. Inside on the first floor are three well-appointed bedrooms - all with sliding glass doors to a balcony with comfortable chairs to view the mountains and forest. First bedroom has a king bed and en suite bathroom. Middle bedroom is a queen room, and the third bedroom also has a king bed. Second full bath is located in the hallway, along with the laundry room. An additional fold-away twin bed is available. Pack and play and high chair for a baby. Up the stairs, you’ll find the spacious kitchen, family, and dining area - highlighted by soaring ceilings with wood beams and modern floor to ceiling windows. The chalet-style space is the perfect place to relax with family and friends, whether eating a home-cooked meal, unwinding in on the decks after a day of outdoor activities, or playing board games at the large table. Some amenities we offer: - Coffee bar equipped with regular drip coffee maker, Keurig, and French Press, burr coffee grinder, along with starter pods, sugar, creamer, tea, and hot chocolate to help you get your day started. - Fully equipped kitchen with spices, oils, and all new appliances, pans, and utensils. - Decks surround most of the home to take in the magnificent views, including an observation area with Mark 2 binoculars to see up close the cliffs of Whiteside Mountain - the highest perpendicular bare rock face east of the Rocky Mountains. - Firepit with six Adirondack chairs. - Private hot tub on lovely patio with views of mountains. - Game lawn perfect for corn hole (supplied) or other lawn games. - Turkey Den - small shed for kids with its own deck - Gas log fireplace in living room for cozy ambiance and warmth (seasonal from Oct to April). - Board games, puzzles, and books for kids and adults. - We are dog friendly for up to two house-broken 50-lb dogs with prior approval (non-refundable fee of $125/dog; see requirements below), and the property is a great place for your four-legged canines to explore with supervision. - The location - unbeatable privacy and views. We are off the beaten path but just a 7-minute drive to the shops and restaurants of Cashiers and about a 20-minute drive to Highlands. In addition, Sliding Rock is just a mile away - this is a fun waterfall/swimming hole where kids and adults can slide down the rocks and cool off during the summer. Whether it’s hiking, fishing, golfing, skiing, horseback riding, biking, or swimming, the area is full of year-round outdoor activities. Or browse through unique shops, sample the many fine restaurants, go gem stone mining, horseback riding, take in a free concert during the summer, or visit during one of the many festivals. When you rent our homes, we provide lots of insider info, including suggestions of places to visit/tour, restaurants we recommend, and local tips. Guests have access to the whole home and 10 private acres. We are always available via phone, text, or email. This is a small neighborhood in the mountains. There are 6-7 homes off our street; each home is on at least three acres. Our home offers the most privacy - the driveway is about 1/4 mile and it is paved. You'll need a car to get places - a four-wheel or all-wheel drive is best during inclement weather (winter). Some things to note: We have both Starlink and Verizon WIFI providing high-speed Internet at High Ridge Haven. Keep in mind the home is in the mountains so it is possible to experience a momentary hiccup, but you may not experience any issues at all. We have the best possible connection we can get at the moment in the mountains. If you need a better connection while here, you can go into the town of Cashiers (4 miles away)- the local library or Buck’s Coffee provides good internet. Additionally, Verizon offers the best cell service. If you are with another carrier, you can connect via Wifi to get calls or text messages.
