Spacious 3 story house, great for families and big groups. Only a few minutes drive from downtown Beech Mountain but surrounded by jaw dropping hiking trails and a stream a minutes walk below the house. After spending your day skiing, white water rafting, rock climbing, golfing etc., you can relax using our heart shaped jacuzzi tub with jets or simply look at the mountain view on one of two balconies. The house also has a game room which has pool, foosball, and table tennis. This house has a room for each bed. So everyone in the house can have their privacy. Fully functional kitchen and laundry room. The house has a fireplace inside and a fire pit outside for a woodsy outdoor feel. The house is surrounded by 2 acres of woods that are part of the property. It is bordered by a stream which creates a very relaxing noise to fall asleep to if you leave the windows open. This space is less than a 10 minute drive to the Beech Mountain Ski Slopes Guests have access to all of the house except for one storage closet which will be locked and the basement which is for house maintenance only. Feel free to take advantage of all the amenities. Upon arrival there will be a lockbox with a key to access the house. I do not stay on the property. Guests are given their space for privacy. If there are any issues that require service you can message me and I will try to send over a handyman to take care of the problem. The house has a good amount of space away from neighbors. The nearby area is loaded with amazing hiking and mountain biking trails with great views if you choose to visit during the summer. I prefer lower pond creek trail, the emerald outback trails, and the Wizard of Oz trails. 40 minutes away for more experienced hikers is the Grandfather Mountain Trail which is a 4-6 hour hike with some of the best views in the Appalachians. 3 wineries are located within an hour radius of the property, with the nearest being the Banner Elk winery. My personal favorite is the Linville Winery which is 45 minutes away. During the Winter, there's a sledding slope in down town Beech Mountain which is great for young children. Beech Mountain Ski Resort has some of the best slopes in east America, being the highest elevated city east of the Mississippi River. Sugar Mountain is 20 minutes away which has even more trails and a higher vertical drop. The slopes there are great for intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders. There's a local mom and pop shop where you can get your basic groceries nearby called Fred's General Mercantile. In Banner Elk there are two more grocery stores 20-30 minutes away. Nearby restaurants like Fred's General Mercantile is great for breakfast and Brick Oven if you like pizza. The best restaurants are 10-15 minutes away in Banner Elk. You can't go wrong with a single restaurant there. Dunn's Deli has great sandwiches. Stonewalls has great steaks. Sorrento's has amazing Italian food. Bayou Smokehouse and Grill has great cajun food. If you're looking for very fine dining with great wine I recommend the Artisanal Restaurant. If you are looking for a spa, Serenity Day Spa is a highly regarded spa in the area. Beech Mountain Club is the closest golf course. Two other courses exist in Banner Elk. There is enough room to park 5 cars in front of the house. During the winter a 4 wheel drive is not necessary but recommended. During the summer a 2 wheel drive vehicle will not have any trouble. Dogs are welcome for a 100$ flat fee but they are not allowed on the couches or beds. Any evidence otherwise will be coming out of the security deposit for a deep cleaning of the area. If there is any damage or stains from the animal, primarily on the carpet, it will be coming out of the security deposit for cleaning and repair. Shoes must be off when entering the home. If there is evidence of shoe tracks or excessive mud, an extra cleaning fee will be taken from the security deposit. It rarely gets hot on the mountain, and it stays below 65 degrees at night, so air conditioning is not needed. There is an attic fan that can be used to circulate more cool are into the house if needed. Wifi is available and the name and password will be provided before your stay.
