Description

Welcome to the 7 Cedars Cabin. The 1800 square foot home is located in a perfect part of the secure and gated Pine Mountain Lake community, easy walking distant to the main marina on Pine Mountain Lake and just a short 2 minutes drive from the main gate by car. The cabin is also only 30 minutes to the gates of Yosemite National Park and Yosemite's three most famous areas, Yosemite Valley, Glacier Point and the Mariposa Grove Redwoods. WiFi and central A/C & heat as well. The space The main home has an open floor plan that features a fully equipped kitchen that is a joy to work in, lots of pots, pans, dishes and basic food supplies such as salt, oil and sugar. There is a Gas barbecue on the spacious outdoor deck which also has a wonderful view of the pines and our 7 Cedars. The dining and family area provides seating for great family while watching TV. You will have access to the entire cabin during your stay, including all bedrooms, bathroom and game room with a pool table. Also tons of space for parking all of your cars or your RV. The cabin has two large 55" High Def TVs with a large sofa and chairs that can seat 10+ people. Guest access You will have access to the whole cabin other than the small storage we have under the cabin. Other things to note 1) There is a $50/car amenities fee that the PML HOA charges for guests. This doesn't comes to the host but to the HOA and allows guests access to Marina, Swimming pool, Tennis court, Please let the host know the names of all drivers ahead of time so they could be included on the guest list at the entrance. 2) Our fireplaces are not available to the guests. Please don't try to turn them on. 3) Its a mountain community and hence trash pickup is very expensive. Trash policies. We get fined if there is any trash littering on the driveway. We have only one bin pickup and in busy season if the bin is already full from the previous guest you will need to purchase a trash bag from the main gate($8) and then drop it off at a bin close to the gate. Host will share the address of the drop off bin on the check out day. Basically each purchased bag can accommodate 2-3 kitchen trash bags so if you have more then you will need to purchase more bags from the gate. By using the main gate's trash bags you are paying to dispose in their bin. At the cabin we will provide trash bags which can then be put in the bags purchased from main gate. No trash can be left at or around the property. Only bags purchased from the main gate can be dropped off in the community bin. No trash can be left behind at the cabin or we need to hire someone to dispose it and it can be expensive and will be charged to the guest. By booking the cabin you are agreeing to the trash disposal situation. Sorry its a small price to pay to keep the beautiful natural surroundings clean and keep the animals away. Another challenge is critters and animals getting in the trash bin so please use the bungy cord on the bin to secure. 4) We try to keep the propane for the barbeque grill full but we have had scenarios where previous guests haven't let us know that the propane got out. So we don't guarantee propane. You can fill it up from the Mar Val grocery store. 5) Renters can't park at the Marina in busy summer months. However there is ample parking on the street close to the Marina. 6) Its the fire season and hence no smoking is allowed in and around the property. 7) I have had guests ask why the trash shed is not enclosed. This is as per the guidelines from the HOA. We personally don't like to keep it open. 8) Please thoroughly read the Welcome Letter below to level set expectations before booking. WELCOME LETTER Welcome to the Seven Cedars Cabin, hosted by the Mathur Family! Our property manager Tom manages the property for us now. We live in San Jose and use this property as our vacation home. We have also opened it up to guests so they can enjoy the beauty of this awesome Mountain community, nearby lake and Yosemite. We are very happy you have decided to stay in our home. The following information is intended to make your stay more enjoyable. Please read these instructions, hints and minor rules. Getting into Pine Mountain Lake Property The host will take care of everything for you to get into and out of the secure Pine Mountain Lake (PML) property. When you arrive at the gate your name will already be at the front gate guard station. Let the guard know you are staying at 19935 Pine Mountain Drive and show them your driver’s license. You will be charged an entry fee of $50 at the front gate after you give them your name and valid ID. This fee is per car which covers you for up to one week. You will need to give us the host, names of the additional drivers other than the guest who booked (no car information is required) so we can put them on the guest list. A pass will be issued, which will need to be displayed for parking and re-entry during your stay. After you get your pass you can quickly get into the property the next time you enter and you can come and go as many times as you like while staying in PML. Parking - There is plenty of parking space enough to fit 6-7 cars on the property itself. Do not park your vehicle on the street-it will get towed away. Only Homeowners can park at the main marina parking lot over weekends. Guests can park on the street. You can also walk to the Marina. Marina is only .7 miles from the cabin. Front Door Entry - Code will be shared ahead of your reserved dates. Downstairs Game Door Entry - its 1776. This doesn't has AC but a fan is provided. Please limit to game room access during the day. Please keep the window sliding glass open for good ventilation. Quiet Hours - We are surrounded by neighbors on all sides. We ask to maintain quiet hours beyond 10PM to respect them and PML noise restrictions. Fire Places - Fireplaces on both levels of the cabin should not be used during your stay. Sorry for the inconvenience. While you’re at the cabin we will provide the following: 1. Fresh sheets, blankets and pillows for all beds. 2. A bath towel is provided for all guests. Please be sure to bring additional towels for the beach or pool. 3. Pots, Pans, Dishes, & Glasses. 4. Toilet Paper and Paper Towels 5. Dishwashing Detergent(mostly since sometimes guests dont tell us that it needs to be refilled) & Dish Soap. 6. Trash Bags 7. Some spices, herbs, oil and cooking essentials (as available). 8. Shampoo, Conditioner and soap are NOT provided, however we sometimes leave extras there, which you are welcome to use. Bring your favorites. 9. We will provide a coffee machine but coffee is NOT provided. Please bring your own coffee. However should you find coffee in the pantry please feel free to use. 10. While we refill propane tank for the grill often please check before you start grilling And if needed please fill it from the local store mar-val since we dont guarantee propane. Internet - Wi-Fi is enabled throughout the cabin. The Wi-fi details with password is mentioned on the fridge in the kitchen. We know you want to stay connected during your visit and our wireless internet is provided at no extra cost during your stay. However, the Internet Service Provider at PML charges us by the megabyte. Therefore, we would ask that while you are most welcome to use the web to check your e-mail, surf the web for restaurants and local attractions, we do ask that you refrain from excessive use of HBO, Netflix, Hulu, YouTube TV or any other streaming services as we have planned for about 3GB of data per day, which is more than sufficient for about a few movies and your emails. Kitchen - The Kitchen has most everything you will need to make your stay enjoyable and not have to eat out if you choose to stay at home and cook. The range is all electric and works great. Under the counters you will find all the pots and pans you will need to cook. Also provided are microwave oven, coffee maker with filters provided (bring you own coffee), and a large refrigerator. The pantry has many items, some we have provided and others have been left by previous guests. Help yourself to all of the spices, oils, sauces, or condiments you find and leave behind what you don't need. If you can load and run the dishwasher on your way out that is appreciated. Some additional items in our kitchen are baking sheets, croc pot, griddle and toaster. Day Bed and sofa - In the main living room we also have a day bed that can be used by an adult or child as an extra place to have a restful night sleep. Also we have a new sofa for your use. Game room and Reading corner - Please try to limit the game room use till before quiet hours. Room also includes a murphy bed. This isn't included in the 12 people sleeping arrangment since we ideally want guests to use the game room only for recreation and not sleeping. The BBQ and the Deck - A large BBQ located on the main deck and must always be covered when not in use. The BBQ is powered by propane gas and the cylinder should be good for your stay. However if you find the cylinder is empty(sometimes previous guests don't let us know)or you happen to run out of gas, please turn off the main valve, unscrew the connection, and let me know. If you wish to refill for further use you can do so from a near by Hardware shop called PML Hardware or mar val grocery. When you are done, please remember to always clean the BBQ with the wire brush provided, turn off the gas at the valve, and cover it after it is cooled down. Also please roll the umbrellas down since it can get windy sometimes. Enjoy! The Heating & A/C - The Cabin is equipped with a duel control A/C and Heating system on both the upper levels that is controlled by the digital Nest thermostats in the living room and upstairs room. Please help save electricity by turning off the ACs when not in use. Washer & Dryer - We have a washer and Dryer if you need to get laundry done. Fire Extinguishers and First aid kid - There are fire extinguishers located on each level. A basic First aid kit is available in the laundry area. Any cleaning detergents/supplies if needed can be found in the laundry room or under the kitchen sink. Extra blankets and pillows - There are extra blankets and pillows provided in the closets in all bedrooms. We want to ensure you stay cozy during your stay. Closing up when you leave - All Good things must come to an end so when you’re ready to leave we’d just ask that you go through the following check list: 1. Doors and windows are all closed and locked. 2. All pots, pan and dishes are put away. Its okay to leave one last load of dishes in the dishwasher but please run this before you leave. 3. Turn both the thermostats to the off position. 4. Make sure all electric appliances are turned off. 5. Check to make sure you have taken all your personal belongings. 6. The maid service will change all the sheets on the beds and wash all the towels so just leave them, but please leave things as tidy as you would in your own home. If there are any wet towels when you are leaving please ensure to throw them in the washer and not on the floor or beds. 7. Trash Disposal (Really important and you already agreed to this since this is in the booking description)We have only one small black bin in the driveway trash shed. If its full please let the host know. At a minimum fee we can add your trash to the pre-purchased trash bags from the trash hauling vendor. If any trash is left behind except in the bin it will be charged to the guest and can come out to be expensive since hosts needs to pay someone to take care of it and the trash disposal itself is expensive. Also we have really strict trash regulations from the county and HOA hence no littering is allowed. The community doesn’t has the concept of seperate recycle and hence recycle material should be considered as trash and should be taken care of. Feedback and Review - Please write us a review on Airbnb. We hope we achieved 5 Star and your repeat business. If we missed on any fronts please let us know directly so we can make sure to include your valuable feedback. Also since we are new hosts any direct feedback to help us improve will be much appreciated. Guarantee of Utilities and Appliances: We make every effort to keep our home in good working order. The operation, and maintenance of these utilities are out of our control. We will attempt to repair or replace any item that is inoperable as quickly as possible but cannot guarantee repair will be completed during your stay.
