Next to Union Square, transit hub. My flat is close to the hospital & diff forms of transportation. Lots of great restaurants. You’ll love the location - its vibe. My apt is good for couples, solo adventurers, friends and business travel. No shoe indoors, NO TV or sofa in the flat & No smoking policy. The space Please read the description carefully! Flat is conveniently located in the heart of the East Village, Manhattan - Next to lively Union Square, and all Metro service. This is a 30-day minimum stay/sublease to 12 weeks max, possibly longer. Send me a note for short-term inquiries like 29 days. Also, additional cleaning fee will be applied for stays longer than 1 month. That fee is for one cleaning only. P Amenities: 2nd Floor Flat - conveniently next to the Lift / Elevator 2 "SMALL" BDRM's - both bedroom has a "TWIN" {single bed} size {comfortable of course, subjective} beds, Black room has a writing/computer desk and a personal AC. There is a portable AC in the living room for warm nights. Both rooms are SMALL however enough space for two people. Please do not act surprised by the size. This is a typical NYC flat. My flat happens to be bigger than most flats in the building and area. The images are not shot with a wide angle lens... it is exactly what you see. This is actually a decent size NYC flat compared to others in the area or building and the lift {elevator} is a plus and rarity in this neighborhood. A lofted work space is above the white bedroom {my room}. The loft area however is Not intended for any guest.. it is my workspace. Please be respectful and do not use unless we discussed prior to your arrival and I have approved your usage. Also, note that the ceiling in the main (white) room is lower because of the work loft space above. Suitable for people 5'2 - 5'11 { 180.34 cm.} Anyone taller may bump their head. The black room also has a loft, however used as my closet for my extra clothes and art - storage while I am away. While the whole apt does have high ceilings … both rooms are lofted, bringing the ceilings as low as about 6ft {182.88 cm}- if you are taller than 6'2 ft {187.96cm}, you may have trouble with one of the rooms. The living room has 15 foot ceilings. Small, however very functional clean Kitchenette with filtered water. Fully equipped with plates, utensils and basically everything needed including seasoning for a good home cooked meals. There is a "small counter table" and two {2} bar stools for eat in. Please no eating in either bedrooms.. only on this counter table. And note; Nothing fancy, just basics and practical. After all, this is a small New York City apartment / Artist apartment! Just clean up after yourself. 1 Bathroom with a tub {rare in NYC flats} and filtered shower head - unusually narrow bathroom, long but roomy, and very spotless - clean bathroom. I offer clean towels, soaps, shampoo, toilet paper for my guest. The essentials is available on premises! If you want to bring your own, you are welcome to that. Hair dryer and Iron is also available! Please ask! Laundry room is in the building {on same floor} Note this laundry service is not free. You must provide for your own cc and detergent for use. There is a drop off laundry service (which I prefer) a block away. Cheaper and better. Please NOTE: Living-room area is occupied with workout equipment... not a lounging area - NO sofa or NO TV. If a sofa and lounge area other then bedrooms are important for you... please look at other listings as my place will not be suitable for you. Be understanding.. this is an actual "Artist Home" and is equipped with the essentials.. my essentials. I live a practical life that suits my lifestyle. You are welcomed to experience the way I live... a real New Yorker, born and raised in Manhattan! My super lives in the building and he is easy to obtain in case of an emergency. He lives just a flight above me {he's very attentive, sweet and gets the work done quickly if ever an issue - no hassle or waits} Free WiFi in the Unit and AC in both the living room and the black room. No rodents in the flat. Very clean and well kept, COZY LITTLE, SMALL 650sq ft {60.387 sm} apartment with 14ft ceilings {the plus.} If you are looking for a huge loft or sun drenched apt ... I hate to brake it to you but this is NOT it. And if you are looking for hotel style accommodations, service apartments... this is NOT your place unfortunately! This is however my home... an authentic artist home filled with art and books. I am sharing my home with the public. I would say it's colorful. Unfortunately I live in the back of the building, second floor so my apartment / flat is not sun drenched but there is beautiful light that comes in and the pros to that is, its actually quiet back here. Basically not much of a view either ... if thats important to you. The windows are facing the walls. If all of these things matter to you, please find another location. I want you to be happy during your NY stay. I would rather host someone that is happy with the space than host someone that has read my listing and wants to state the obvious and complain about my space afterwards. This can be easily be a share for two people when you book the whole apartment - I prefer 'NON SMOKERS' please. Additional person {3rd person} will be an extra charge. My place is quite quaint and {I repeat} SMALL, only 650 sq ft - 60.387 cm. however, believe it or not, bigger than the average East Village Apartment. Please be mindful.. best shared with 2 people for comfort - a third can be a crowd. Although, I can provide a small sleeping cot for an extra guest if it’s absolutely a must. Note: there is a $75.00 fee per additional guest. All the PERKS: Bus stop is right in front of the building. "L" train on the corner. Union Square is two blocks away - transportation hub. {access to the L, 4, 5, 6, N, Q, and R} Traders Joe, Whole Food market, and a Organic Market 1 to 2 blocks radius. Hospital, and Park is located just one block away. NOTE: Workout equipment is in the living room space - The living room area is not made to rest or lounge around in however your not limited to the space. If you are a certified trainer for the "Gyrotonic" system, you are welcome to use both machines with no additional fee {reasonable}... Otherwise, no one should use them At All! I am not liable or will I be held responsible for any injuries incurred by your informal use of my machines. These machines are very expensive... If the machines are damaged... we will need to discuss fees to restore or repair. Also, NO TV on the premises. If thats important for you; my place is not for you! Please book elsewhere. It is in the living area closed off. My apt is located in East Village / NYC! I am an artist and the apartment has lots of art on the walls from other artist friends and it's filled with lots of interesting books; you're welcome to read. I want to mention again that this is a SMALL typical NYC apartment (bigger than other apartments in the area but for most of you travelers, may seem extremely small) and unlike many buildings in the area, there is a lift. It's a rare thing believe it or not for the east village! My place is very cozy, clean, artsy and it's nice - A true East Village Artist vibe! Important... I want to mention again... I do not own a TV! Be mindful, this is my home, I live here most of the year and I am sharing my space with you - subleasing while I am away. Please respect it and treat it like it is your own home. Last but not least, I am always around if you need to communicate with me... even if I am traveling. If there is an issue and you DO NOT communicate with me, I can not help you and will not know. Even if you have my sons info, please contact me 1st! Do not hesitate to contact me if you run into any problems. Usually I will be the one greeting you when you arrive unless I am in the midst of my travels, then my son will greet you. Either way, contact me only if an issue arises. Otherwise I wont be able to solve your problem if I do not know about them. Also be mindful of my time and communicate your arrival information at least 3 days prior to arrival to make proper arrangements.
