Lake St. John We have a wide sandy beach area and shallow entry into the lake, however the lake is weedy and can get swim advisories in mid/late summer due to blue-green algae. It is fantastic for canoeing, paddle boating, kayaking, fishing, relaxing on floaties, etc. We recommend that guests bring water shoes or crocs as there are zebra mussels. Airport There is a small airport with seaplanes 1.5 km from the property. The airplanes can fly over the cottage and land in the lake. Most planes are quiet as they glide over, however, some may be loud. * Pet friendly for ONE small/medium sized dog only (<60 pounds) - Pets must be preapproved, well trained, and not be left inside the cottage alone without a crate. * When booking we ask for government photo ID and we also ask for you to sign our Agreement form and Watercraft Waiver form which will be sent to you through email.
