The road is private except for the side road to the museum parking which is used for weekend events, but otherwise closed off to traffic. We have regular mowing company and we take care of the landscaping and trash pickup. Other things to note The house is on a well and septic system. The water is not chlorinated. There can be standing water in some areas of the yard as we’re close to the river. There are wild rabbits living behind the fence who visit the lawn to graze, and a herd of local deer who pass through occasionally. There are also ospreys and bald eagles nesting in the area, lots of fish in the river and fishing from the public pier a block away, with a Md. license. Beaches and boat ramps are private except in the parks: St. Clements Island beach and Newtown Neck State Park beach, both are small wild beaches, with no development nearby. New town Neck beach is public about a 12 mile drive.
